Trash interview [ N/A -> Interview ]
Interview posted by Ausir Fri 30 Jul 2004, 2:47 AM
Interview with Mark Currie, Trash developer (August 1st, 2002)

Saint_Proverbius: Why Trash? What made Inhuman want to make it? Why the choice of Post Apocalyptic?

Mark Currie: We decided to make Trash for all the typical reasons. We are huge RTS fans. As such we thought it was our duty to make one. We wanted to work on a game that we would play. It is a little known fact that most the people in the game industry are not working on their favorite type of game or even a game that they would normally play.

The choice of a post apocalyptic setting was automatic for us. We are big fans of post apocalyptic movies and games. There needs to be more. Besides, with the apocalypse approaching, everyone needs to be prepared.

Interview with Carsten Strehse, Soldiers of Anarchy developer (August 15th, 2002).
    Saint_Proverbius: Can you give a brief background about Silver Style and why you guys are making a post apocalyptic game?

    Carsten Strehse: Silver Style Entertainment has been developing games since 1993.Since that time, we have done more than 20 titles. The company is based in Berlin/Germany. At the moment we have 21 employees. The reason why we decided to create a post apocalyptic game is simple: we love endtime scenarios J.
As we would learn in the years to come...

Our interview with Lakin Shoobridge about mostly unimportant stuff.

If you could make any game you wanted, what'd it be?

A tactical war game, with a strong element of diplomacy, and a spy network at your disposal.
Hopefully there'd be some other stuff, then it wouldn't be as dead boring as it sounds atm.
Or a sequel to Zack McCracken : )

What are a few of your favourite games?

I'm a big fan of a lot of the RPG's that came out on the SNES.
At the moment (when i have time) i play Planescape:Torment, Icewind Dale and i'm pretty fond of Tony Hawks Pro Skater (for some contrast)
