What would you want included in Fallout 3?

I would want the 'ask' option from fallout.

can you imagine a special encounter. you go into this massive house and theres some of us forum members on P.C's.

and if you found the game Fallout. that would be interesting.

can imagine it now:

Fallout, a post nuclear role playing game. You could find that in the same special encounter.

Uh... Well, as Umpa and Slider pointed out the ask/tell me about is a must...
Well, how about setting fire on houses of certain materials (Would make that pyromaniac perk a bit more worth...
And let's see, well more of that 'Wasteland' feel from FO1, size and sidequests... But that's obvious, I guess...
More 'scrappy' weapons... No more fully functioning railguns... Give us weapons fixed and repaired numerous times... And give us an undiscovered vault that not yet have been opened... And give us more stribing communities based on ruins of the ancient cities! And giv--- What? ok, I'll shut up..!

Would you enjoy seeing black-clothed SOB in middle of the wastes wanting to crush your spine and drawing a swastika on your forehead with a rusty knife?

NPC KashluK LEVEL 43 is your answer...

Now that's a good idea!

I would love to see some fully deformable terrain and burnable buildings! Kinda like what they did in Red Faction...

Well, that certainly would make it a -free to do anything world- Shouldn't be a too big part of the game, though... It's an rpg, not a blow-the-world-to-smithereens-pg... But houses on fire would make some mighty fine side-quests... Well, and when we're into it... Hauling bodies away... Sleeping or unconscious(Deus Ex) or dead... Or even hurt and alive...

I like the idea of being able to leap over fences in stead of having to walk all the way around them. They had this option in jagged alliance already.
Also i agree on the suggestion to ban all high-tech shit from the fallout world. Energy weapons with massive amounts of wiring and transmitters are just too likely to break down in case of nuclear warfare. There might have been some operative units that survived the war but post-war mankind just lacked the knowledge to handle any of it.
This caused them to either be broken down or be neglected. Since energy weapons require careful nurturing, this damaged indispensable parts causing it to break down.

I personally would like to c my character being able to climb any random object. This included tires, trees and various junk that litters the landscape. I mean, it doesnt necessarily require a stairway to climb onto something does it?

I agree about setting a limit to the available amount of tech like energy weapons but high tech groups have energy weapons and know how to maintan them like the BOS. They have access to some pre-war knowledge and might be able to make some weapons(Vree made a laser pistol). As for some random groups having energy weapons it just shouldn't happen unless they have found some military base with weapons plans.

Well, ok, BOS and the other high-techies can have their energy weapons... But then remember to make enough of those buggers, so you can't one-handedly destroy them! (Like in FO1)

I want tesla armor! More tesla armor! What use is it if you see it only once through the entire game?
A real rocket launcher, one that hurts alot...
A community that lives in a airport and worships the sky...
What about Mexico! I wanna see what happened when radiation drifted from the Enclave oil rig to the coast. I am sure it won't be a desert because there was nothing important there. Mutated wildlife, especially mutated slugs and Venus fly traps...
The Fallout 2 guide in the game, really useless I suppose...
Vehicles...tanks and cars and trucks...
Twisted evil doers like the Maste...no wait... much more horrendous, enough to outdo Doom III and give you nightmares for months to come!

More vehicles(read my post in the poll),
more control over NPC's(but not like FoT),
more NPC's,
customizable appearance,
more talking heads,
a special encounter where you meet all the previous NPC's,
more special encounters,
referrences to the Fallout community,
not all walls are indestructable(shoot through),
If you are liked by a town and you get in a fight with a badguy in that town, they fight with you,
dogmeat(of coarse)
ability to be race of choice,
more upgrade kinda things(like the combat implants),
really cool skills,
more skills,
background selection(tribal, bos, etc)
after you beat the game you can make a town,

i could go on for hours, i'll just post later or something.

Some more monsters - very bad and ugly... Mutants, robots, animals and combinations of these three things would be cool. And what about aliens? What a hell is that?

Yea, an adjustable appearance would be awesome.
Maybe they should include some sort of easy to use editor that would allow you to randomly modify your characters physical appearance.
