I Kickstarted this fucking piece of shit like 7 years ago when the estimated release date was like 6 years ago. Should be thankful I guess, taught me early on to not pay for anything until it's actually finished, fuck all of this kickstarter early access flower bullshit, I don't know why anyone would want to support someone for being a lazy cunt. Anyway are you gonna play it, is it any good? How about crowdfunding, do you like giving money to strangers with no guarantees of anything ever coming to fruition because you're actually a decent person unlike me and have faith in humanity / developers?
Oh yeah I got some backer goodies, like some shitty wallpapers with horrible banding and that's about it. There's a TriOptimum Employee Handbook.pdf though which is kinda nice, reminds me of the olden Fallout manuals / survival guides, it has some fun stuff like a personality questionnaire

Cant remember pre-ordering or supporting anything pre-release.

I have no idea, I remember they got something like 1,5mil from the backers then decided to fuck everything up and start from scratch, the whole thing reminded me of this Stalker dev diary by Megatron
STALKER Developer Diary
Happy New Year to all my friends and even the people I work with. The year has been a good one. So far I have been drunk the whole time. In russia that's all we drink. Beer. The office party was rather diabolical if I do say so myself. So happy new year to the remaining fans who enjoy our faqs! This diary will focus on what we have been doing most of the year, writing in our dev diaries and answering faqs.
January
Ah this month I encoded the AI to run for cover. But all the cydorks keep hiding behind the same barrel as it is the most logical. I think I will delete the barrel sometime in the future. This month I also had a dev chat and answered some questions. I made up the answers for fun though, it doesn't really matter.
Febuary
I deleted the barrel this month. This month was also bad as the game got delayed another 9 months because someone spilt beer all over the keyboard. Now we have to buy a new keyboard! This made me mad because in Russia sometimes you drink beer and other times you work. This is a democratic country after all!
March
This month we were investigated for stealing half-life 2. They didn't find it though because we had hid it very well in my secret hiding place. We also keep the porn and beer here. I answered 3 faqs this month. Overall this month was very productive.
April
I did some work now. I made a tree out of lego to show our lead designer what a tree made out of lego might look like. He decided we wouldn't put a lego level in the game afterall. I spent 2 weeks coming up with a new level and chose 'tree' level instead!
May
I went on holiday this month. I went to France and brought back some cheese. It made the modeller guy sick though so I had to make a model of a tree. This work is hard!
June
I did some more work this month because we were under investigation by The Chernobyl Society for Making Fun Games. I added some barrels to the tree level and started to draw a really cool dragon. I showed the lead developer and he said he would get a tattoo of it.
July
We got drunk this month mostly. I also found some cheese and ate it, but it turned out to be the alpha. I was very sad and ashamed I had done such a mistake! I decided to add more cars in the game because there weren't enough mammals.
August
I looked at some AI code and decided we needed the AI to attack each other. Now the monsters run into a big fight and it's really cool. I made a video of it and my wife loved it. The head developer said it wasn't really cool and it was slowing the game down. I told him that I would fix it and deleted all the AI in the game LOL!
September
We had a month of rememberance as it was exactly 3 years since the world trade centre was bombed. I added some ai so they could open doors and say 'Halt! Who goes there!'. This month I also took some drugs and started drawing really cool pictures of dragons mostly. I also answered a FAQ which was helpful.
October
Someone decided to add more monsters in the game, so I showed them my pictures of a dragon. He decided it looked too realistic so we had to delay the game to make my drawing more unrealistic because computers can't handle the amount of polygons needed to render my cool dragon.
November
This month was christmas so I didn't go to work much. I drank some beer and had sex with my wife. For christmas I got a ipod but I sold it on ebay because I'm a computer hacker.
December
I started writing this diary and added some more AI. AI means artificial intelligence so I made the monsters do some intelligent things like attack and run away. Looking back I think the year was good, but should have done more interviews. I also ordered a pizza and ate it with the developement team. Sometimes I worry if we get enough work done, but then I go back to drinking beer and drawing pictures of dragons.
