What? Anyone understand what Blargh is writing?Blargh wrote:HA HA MY EYES ARE LESS BOLLOCKSED THAN I HAD THOUGHT
Was leaning toward viewing Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes the other night. It was dubbed.
Dubbing should be retroactively punishable by a lung full of razors and a Very Angry Letter by way of a troupe of leprous mimes. Yes.
Do these glasses and my two chins make me look sexy?

Yes you dimfuck. He's whinging that the dubbing of foreign movies, aka replacing there original actors voices with a semi-lip-synched localized version, is a crime and pontificates about a possible punishment.
Polacks have it tihs way:
A reader is reading dialogs. All characters, same voice. That's why Polacks have such a shitty attitude. They rarely get to see a movie not spoiled by this shit. Depth of character? I don't fucking think so.
Sometimes they also slap subtitles in the mix, so the movie is, given it's not already, totally fucked up.
Tivia:
Polish movies are usually about (the practically non existent) polish war heroism and lots of cavalry paired with a shitty sub plot nobody could be bothered with. Also, the fruits of years and years of lacking character depth.
There are some good polish thrillers, because there's lots of crime in Poland, therefore they simply rely on documenting every-days experiences of pretty much every Polak.

I remeber going to poland and watching tv and some guy who was likely comatose when he was reading was doing all the voice overs. And you could still hear the background dialogue if you listened carefully. Got fucking irritated after a while and went to play basketball with some of the dodgy looking guys outside, we got our asses kicked.

It's like art; everyone has to examine it as carefully as possible and see what definition they can scrape together for themselves, because the only person who ever really knows the true meaning is Blargh himself.MR Snake wrote:What?
