recommend me some moviez in the gritty urban environment

Talk about music, movies, TV, books, other types of entertainment and what your vices are. Also, if you're addicted to the high you get off Aspirin, this is the place to talk about it.

Rumble Fish? Though it's not a cheesey action movie, it's like an artisté warriors. Red Dawn and Demolition Man are okay to.

Adam Banjo: Please, mister. This is insane.

Otis B. Driftwood: Boy, the next word that comes out of your mouth better be some brilliant fuckin' Mark Twain shit. 'Cause it's definitely getting chiseled on your tombstone.

Stick with John Carpenter's 80's stuff
The Thing
Christine
Assault on Precinct 13 orig. version
They Live

He had a nice run there, can't make a movie worth a damn now though.

Robocop, bitch. The first one is the only one as far as I'm concerned. Also I have to second whoever said Repo Man as well as the John Carpenter stuff.

Predator for sure.

Then you got cobra which is a pretty decent stallone movie though some people might disagree. There is also Bloodsport which is a modern day classic. Highlander is alright but avoid all the others for the most part. The untouchables, though I don't know if you would consider it very actiony but it has some good scenes.

I don't know if these movies match what your looking for but they are the type of movies I usually watch when I see them on TV ever since I was a kid. Some more movies that include Stallone are NightHawks and Lock Up. Also you can't miss The Hitcher with Rutger Haur. I saw parts of another Rutger Haur movie on tv called Flesh + Blood and from what I saw it was pretty cool looking.

I will try and think up some more for you Sargent gimpmask.

Rutger Hauer: Dead Or Alive
Plot Keywords:
Throat Slitting / Grenade / Exploding Head / Cruelty / Death

With Gene Simmons as a terrorist.

Gene Simmons as an evil scientist: Runaway
The clip on youtube has the guided bullets that made the film so cool.
Camera-bullet view.
I remember the rockets in Deus Ex: Invisible War. Also the homing probe thing.

KISS vs. Magnum PI. lol

The Exterminator
"'The Exterminator' is a psycopath, capable of dangerously undermining an entire government administration."

Meat Grinder scene

Flamethrower scene

After Carpenter, you're primed for a run through David Cronenberg's 80s stuff:

Videodrome
Scanners
The Dead Zone
The Fly
Naked Lunch
Dead Ringers

some of you didn't quite catch my drift here, so let me be more specific: I'm looking for the "futuristic" stuff, you know, "Year 2002. USA is a mean,
bad-ass dystopia", ultra-modern car designs a'la Ford Taurus, etc. Kaputt?

:sniff:

Perhaps you could consider Cobra as a type of futuristic movie where gang members are taken over. I also just watched a movie called Strange Days but its from the 90's but it has to do with the future with people who have "experiences" which is like porn in the first person. It was pretty decent. Anyways I'm sorry to dissapoint
