And my favorite donor to the relief fund is currently Panama, who has donated 120,000 pounds

of bananas.

Nah, they could really mean it. Getting people medically trained is a high priority in Cuba. It's part of their welfare, civdef, and national security plan. They've got lots of medical people, if not fancy equipment.
They also get slammed almost every year by storms. They plan for this shit, and the population is educated about it.
Then again, maybe that is the inside joke.
Cuba does a vastly superior job than the US with a ludicrously small fraction of the resources. Stupid, fat, ignorant Americans. The US could have upgraded the New Orleans levees, trained the emergency services, educated the population, stockpiled supplies both onsite and offsite(for re-entering the area immediately fully equipped), set up emergency communication networks, set up emergency tranport/evac. plans, etc. for a fraction of what is wasted on idiocy.

Of course, those "Cuban Doctors" are nothing more than a bunch of spies and spy-recruiters. They are in league with AL-Queda, as any competent CIA analyst can tell you.(Or at least any one that wants to stay employed. Only bleeding heart liberal traitors care about facts. )
We must remember that the Glorious Batista Regime was one of the shining examples of Enlightened Democracy before it was destroyed by evil, psychotic, power-mongering commies. They are trying to trick us!

Uh oh. Looks like we in Canada decided to send them our Sea King helicopters... our forty year old Sea King helicopters... our forty year old Sea King helicopters that constantly crash because they're so goddamn old. It must be some cynical effort on the Canadian military's part to finally just get rid of those damn helicopters.

They need experienced helicopter pilots to fly in the areas, since basically all of the rescue is being done by helicopter. They should get a giant hovercraft or floating tank to rescue them.

I hope they dont rebuild new orleans, they should move it or just abandon it. Its a bad location to begin with and it would take forever just to rebuild and fix the place up.

The helicopters are seriously bad, though. The issue of whether or not to bite the multi billion dollar bullet and replace them has been stinking up Ottawa since 1993 or so.
