So anyway..I noticed quite a few people have joined this month and last, excluding various alts. It's kind of weird..They post on topic, and they're helpful. They're not like "us". Even their usernames seem new and scary to me.

Has the future of DAC arrived? Are the old sods that've been around since the Spy days, and those of us that migrated from V13 on the way out? What'll become of us? Is Megatron going to outlive all of us? Where did these new Fallout fans come from? Are they all just alts of alts of alts?

I think if we seperated each of us into about 5 different alts, at least one of those alts would be like one of the new members.

You must be mistaken. There's only like 2-3 new people, that's it.

Oh, them?

Teatime and DU went over to China and brought them over to improve the forums.

Hmm, i've been aware of this website for quite some time now and have used it as a resource for Fallout games etc but never really noticed the forums. I guess one of the "hot topics" finally caught my attention one day.

The "Morrowind with guns" thread was actually the first thread I ever posted anywhere, which kind of explains the poor thread placement and the general beating I recieved early on in the thread.

Pretty kickass community though. Fallout is the best game I expect to ever play, and it draws a very distict type of player. Then factor in the ones that would still be a part of the community and talking about it ten years later. You're all either really cool or lost children, either way I share the same obsession.

I think the most fun I had here was when the forums could only be found by a direct link and there were about eight active users.

I fear change.

Source? This exact avatar was lifted from a Russian livejournal community concerned with clockwork orange over three years ago. Its filename is "1072981.jpg" and there were no other images like it that I remember. I'm afraid that this is all that will ever be short of blundering upon the larger version should that exist.

And yeah, it is better than the fist. But maybe close in greatness is the shocker Megatron made from the days of 80x80 avatars: <img src="http://www.kylenet.com/gallery/albums/sam/shock.jpg">

Each month approximately 50 new persons register an account. The amount has been quite steady lately, which is not bad considering the situation in the Fallout scene. Maybe it's some of the guest users and lurkers who register.

From the last 5 months, I counted 5 posters who are still actively posting(excluding Pyro/Megatron/WPE/Cleck/whatever mood he is in), which is a relatively small number. Most new members post a few posts and then leave or don't post at all. There are still many 'old' members around and new faces are welcome once they've been taught how the system works here.

I've joined this pretty much for the fact that it covers general post-apocalyptic news and info, I'm still a Falllout newbie... But this is a good source for Fallout story, better than other Fallout sites I've seen(*cough*NMA*cough*). I absolutely ADORE the Wikis, besides the fact that nobody ever touches Wikipocalypse(Subtle message). It's good if there are new users, as long as the old ones stay. I don't post that much seeing as a lot of threads sometimes become one liner or get too big, too fast and that I'm too lazy to read them and answer...

I actually joined a good while back last year, I just never really posted because I had quite a few obligations in my life and didn't have the time.

But now I've got plenty of that.

I actually started out at NMA, although the only really interesting thing there is watching Roshambo live up to his name towards the newbies and the vat tossed threads.

You guys are a crazy bunch, but it wouldn't be any fun to be here otherwise.
