My theory is that Rosh is Aquaman. He was serving in the navy when he heard the Call of the Sea. One magic wetsuit later, he was deep, deep beneath the waves, sending monsoons onto whaling ships and having tea parties with Greenpeace divers.

One time, I was out by the subway station, and I saw rosh give a hobo a pack of cigarettes. But then the hobo opened the pack and it was empty and rosh was laughing hysterically. So then he gave him a real cigarette and the hobo was, like, really happy until he realized he didn't have a lighter, and rosh took a lighter out of his pocket, and threw it at the tracks, and the hobo dove after it and got hit by a train.
