i'm sure you all know this already, but it never hurts to hear it again...

when placing walls, make sure you place them so they line up with the floor grid..
it is possible to have them offset, and this is fine as long as you don't want a roof...
if however you want to put a roof on your nice new building, then it needs to line up with the grid... or you will get gaps round the edge of your roof, or overhanging roof tiles...
the last thing you want to do is make your nice map, fill it full of items and scenery, only to find that the roof doesn't fit.. which means hours of moving walls to fit it just right.

as a side note.. some scenery object tend to stick into walls if they are not lined up with the floor..

this message is also posted in the fallout 1 & 2 modding forum..
