Is not popular.

The definition of bombing a show (pun not intended).

However, seems like frowning for the glorious leader was not enough.

As
North Korea publicly executed several of its citizens after they watched K-pop, or Korean pop, music videos, according to a report.

At least seven individuals who were found to have watched K-pop music videos were executed under North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the Transitional Justice Working Group said.

K-pop is exported from South Korea, and the possession and/or distribution of entertainment from South Korea is punishable by death, according to the communist nation's supreme leader.

The music's influence on North Korea would cause the nation to "crumble like a damp wall," Kim said.

Six of the supposed executions occurred in the city of Hyesan, according to a report.

The city has a reputation for being a major trading center for South Korean entertainment, the report noted.

The killings reportedly took place between 2012 and 2014, and soldiers allegedly forced citizens and the victims' families to witness the executions.

I mean k-pop is killa af but would I be willing to die for watching music videos? Probably, the choreographies are thicc and based. When I was in Korea I wanted to go see some k-pop supergroup but the tickets sell out in nanoseconds or something so I went to a hardcore show instead

one of the guys in BTS used to make some pretty darn dope rap, looks like the music video was shot in NK too

K-pop trivia: This k-pop song video has been watched nearly 30 million times in the last 5 days. The weird bit is that it's a cover of a Finnish pop song from 1996. I remember the Finnish band being pretty popular in SK in the 90s for some reason, and apparently this is not the first Korean cover of the song. Merry Christmas
