Hello!

Has anyone tried this "Fallout Booster" found at
http://www.freelancer.ag.ru/fallout/dow ... _eng.shtml
:?:

I would like to run my FTBOS game on my notebook PC, but it is kinda slow in the video card requirement as it can play the videos of the game but with pauses every second or two. I would like to hear your thoughts on the mentioned booster, or if you've got a utility of your own. :D

Thanks!

It's probably poorly coded. Just like FOT.
ARR! Buggy code makes me mad!

hehe, yea. Well, when they bring out FO:T2, i bet it'll have a great code... if it has multiplayer. Anyway, who else has used the Booster?

lol, because it works better of different machines. Obviously the faster the computer, the worse off it is for you to have the Booster. And i have a fast one, and it seemed that you didn't. (No offence) :)

For example, my friend has a VERY slow computer. He used the booster, and it worked great. Now, after watching the loading times on his machine, i was excited! So, i ran home and downloaded it (off my cable ) and used it. 15 minutes later, i tried FO:T and it took 4 minutes to load! Grrrrr, i was pissed. I had to re install because i had no idea what files it changed. Anyway, the morale to this story is: Dont get the Booster, unless you have a 'slow' machine. 8O

P.S. Thanks for writin my name correctly! :D

heh your welcome.

but my computer is FAST at least compared to the ones at the time FO:T was released...i remember running this game on my 64mb 300mhz voodoo 3 beast...though the settings were toned down quite a bit, at like 640x480 or 800x600 (x16) instead of 1024x768 x32 with anti aliasing on. hehe...

but i still dont think my computer should be called SLOW, its more average for a gamer's computer...

ran fine with mine, 350 proc and 192 ram... booster took about an hour to run through though!
have you taken off anti-alias in the video options? that seems to enhance the game if its running slowly.

btw, FO:T 2 is not likely to be done...pretty much the same as the rest of teh FO series :(
you know who to blame!

I tried many things to get my FOT to work. I tried tweaking the options, defraging, I did't even know the booster exsisted, but I just decided that my comp disliked it for it's crappiness. And gotdamned I was right. I can't even have the thing installed on my system anymore without it crashing every 3 secs. Maybe your comp is smart and hates it too.

Maybe you have too many games on there... Taking up all the memory.

That isn't the reason. I tried uninstalling all my games cept fallout and it still crashed.

Maybe it's your OS or something having to do with you trying to play it on a notebook.
