Favorite kind of Character?

Favorite kind of Character?

Post by Gwenfloor »

In the character creation system, I like to make a high Intelligence, High-Charisma smooth-talker. It just feels so good to use your cunning wit instead of brute force as your main weapon. Also due to the fact that Beserker-oriented characters have been done to death in just about every RPG.
What are your favorite builds?

Speech, science and any guns. Sometimes killing is the only way.

No, it's kinda gay.

Unless you use your cunning wit, and then you kill them anyway.

How does using words instead of violence determine my character's sexuality?

Whose alt are you? I refuse to believe that you are real.

I usually play the Armed Technician: Weapon Skills, Repair, Science, and Speech.

You may have noticed that the name Gwenfloor is used by members on other messageboards. I am the same person. I use one name for people to easily recognize me.
Refusing to believe in my existance is fine, I can't force you to believe me. But if I did not exist, then who is doing the posting?

Most people here have played many styles.

One that I especially enjoyed was the Luckless Drifter.

Luck: 1
Agility: 10 (Run away! Run away!)

Jinxed, Bloody Mess

Tag Outdoorsman, Doctor, First Aid.

In FO2, Luck 1 will get you the Pariah Dog almost certainly. So you get Jinxed for free. In that case substitute Chem Reliant.

I found it useful to get into an encounter with 2 warring groups and let my Jinxed trait cause them to drop weapons/etc.
Then collect.

just paint a trifoil on your own damn mug if you want one so badly, lazy mongoloid.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

I usually go with a character centered around speech and ranged combat, to fulfill my dream of being a wisecracking gunslinger. I usually rely on NPCs for noncombat skills.

I do something similar to johnnygothisgun.

Gifted and skilled; PE, AG (always 10), IN, CH as high as possible. Then Small Guns, Big Guns and Speech. Or perhaps Lockpick. Then in some cases Tag! Energy Weapons later on. I can't understand why anyone would spend points or even less a tag skill on something as boring and seldom used as Repair when you could have a slave to do that for you.

haven't played either fallout in years, but i usually do: small guns/unarmed, speech, and one of doctor/science/some thief skill. high IN & LK (for da fun factor) are critical. gifted is to be avoided at all costs.

I also went for the talkative gunslinger most of the time, it was quite relaxed :salute:
