As the topic says, what really happened to Sergeant Granite and his friends after you take them with you on the oil tanker? I've been searching the forums and the Fallout Bible with no results.

Does anyone know?

Sorry, but it's not fan fiction I'm interested in. Usually there is something that's canon, right?

I found it out. It says in Fallout Bible #6 that they go to Navarro after getting off the oil tanker.

It says they are never heard of again.

Why the hell would they go to Navarro? That's some stupid-ass canon right there.

Can you elaborate a bit on why you feel that's a poor decision?

How is that a bad idea? Navorro is an Enclave base so if you were an Enclave soldier wouldn't you go there too?

Most people wipe out Navarro before they go to the tanker anyway, and even if you didn't, those soldiers just helped blow up the enclave base... it doesn't make any sense for them to just show up at Navarro and go back to work for the bad guys.

Navarro

They basically took over the Base and cleaned it up.

Maybe they don't think of their former comrades as Bad Guys.
It's a new world, new circumstances.
Skills and resources are essential. So you scavenge what you
can from the old order. Joining up with your own guys makes
sense. Ever heard of a Rally Point?
Navarro Is IT.

They could even use it as a bargaining chip to join/confederate
with the BOS.

It's more romantic if they ended up dispersing, going their separate ways in the wasteland. A better twist would be if they joined the Brotherhood.

Agreed.

A better ending would be for them to go to Reno and make crazy Japanimation Robo Sexual porn videos with the blow up doll.

I don't know what stats are required, but you can convince them to help you fight off Horrigan, and they presumably leave with you on the tanker, being that the oil rig is about to explode.

Take mentats to get int/char up.
Pump up Speech.
That should do it.
It helps if you dose each guard with 2 Jet doses.
Also, save/reload until you have successfully planted better
weapons on them, and take away their extra ammo for the
weapons they have equipped. That way, when their ammo
in the equipped weapons runs out, they switch to the better
ones. Try giving them other drugs, too.
Activate the counter-insurgency program or whatever it is that
puts the turrets on Horrigan. You may have to save/reload a
few times before you can get Horrigan and the guards to fight.
If all goes well, you won't have to fire a shot except to start
the fight. Just let it all be done for you.
