City of the Dead images and Day of the Dead Confusion

Post by King of Creation »

[ Game -> Images ] - More info on Game: City of the Dead | More info on Film & TV: Day of the Dead (remake)

Bloody Disgusting is reporting on a bunch of Dead news. First up, they've recieved word on the first images from the game City of the Dead.

Ryan S. alerted us that if you head on over to IGN you can check out the first ever images from George Romero's City of the Dead
video game, which will hit PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC in spring of
2006. The game is described as, "a totally vicious FPS that features
buckets of blood interspersed with the occasional cubic ton of
tenderized brain matter." IGN also explains in terms of an actual story
mode, City of the Dead features one city, some animated dead people who
are terribly reluctant to stop moving, and a few dudes who'd really
like to not become one of them.

You can check out those images <a target="_self" href="http://xbox.ign.com/articles/618/618019 ... re.

In other news, it appears there has been some sort of mix up with regards to the Day of the Dead remake that we had reported on earlier. BD tried to clear it up a bit.

It was announced the other day that Millenuim Entertainment would be remaking George Romero's Day of the Dead,
what the reports didn't say is that Taurus Entertainment is also
producing, according to Variety. Why is this interesting? Because
Taurus is the one who produced Day of the Dead 2: Contagium,
which fell off the radar after FanTasia last year. So is this a
separate movie and what does this mean for Contagium? This makes me
even less excited about the remake considering how bad word was on the
clip shown at FanTasia.

It's just looking worse and worse for this "remake" or whatever it is.

Spotted @ Bloody-Disgusting.com

While we're at it, what's happening with the movie with nazi zombies? I can't remember the name, but it looked promising.
