I was at least hoping to see some of Fallout's original character models rendered in three dimensiions but they changed the look of everything around. It looks more like fantasy than post-apoc. Oblivion with Guns anyone??

It's a sweet ass Oblivion plugin set in a 1950's era World War 3! Oh, just kidding, relax ladies. While the drastic change in gameplay philosphies have frightened more than a few Fallout fans (imagine if Half-Life 3 became a turn-based strategy game or something wacky like that), Bethesda has a pretty good track record. Before you eat that entire case of radioactive creamed corn, try the game out, you might like it!

videogaming247: You’ve been keen to stress that Fallout 3 isn’t a shooter, that it’s an RPG in which you shoot. Firstly, why does the game’s classification matter so much, and, secondly, doesn’t the fact that the game has shooting elements means it’s going to appeal to both those interested in RPGs and those interested in FPSs?

Todd Howard: You’re probably right, in that it appeals to fans of both, and we’re OK with that.
Doh.
