Sorry but I don't like soccer, its just boring to me and I won't talk about it either.

As for the Eastern Conference, I'd say the Nets will probably finish the Hornets off and then lose to the Celtics. I'd rather see the the Nets win the East though(not that it matters when they go to the Finals). :P

FOOTBAL to us isnt the sport that includes the wearing of fancy helmets and shoulderpads that will boost up your VISUAL stamina
RUGBY is nice too by the way, its the European equivalent of the american sports referred to as ''FOOTBALL''

I'm sure they'll do just fine. Englands a decent team after all, featuring some really good players.
It's probably going to be one of those F**king latin countries again that will take the cup.

England is not gonna win the world cup. I’d say it’ll be Italy or Argentina.

Now, to rectify the thread...

But I think that the Zen Master will slow the tempo down and it will be more like the Jazz-Kings series(talk about boring).

That's exactly what the Lakers will do, so i'm afraid that the western conference final will be sth quite boring.

Nets just beaten the Honets, and they will probably go on and losing the conference title to Boston.

Can't tell whether the Kings or Lakers have a better chance, I think it will be a matter of performance.

Well I'm going to pick the Nets over the Celtic(because the Red Sox whipped the A's  )

And the Kings over the Lakers because the Kings have home court and have only lost five games ther during the regular season. :D

Soccer? What's soccer? Oh, you mean that sport the Americans call soccer as to distinguish from their football? I wouldn't expect from a European to call it this way. Personally I prefer the terms American and European Football(and name the AF league in Europe, AF European division instead), as both sports use the feet to score(and to my knowledge EF more so-something like calling basketball, handball just because they use hands on it, actually). One of my favourite sports actually. Enjoyed last night's game, too. Zidane's goal should be required to watch as an example of what the game should be.
Nevertheless, this is hardly the thread for such a discussion. You'd better start a new one. In any case the world cup will soon start and the NBA finals could be well over. We can talk about it then.

Right, this is no place to dicuss other things than BASKETBALL. I still think Kings are gonna win. In five over the Celtics.

Don't know, the Nets don't seem impressive to me.

Have you seen the babbling of the Lakers? They said something like gonna teach the Kings a lesson ...etc. Screw them! :fist:
Peja looks very bad, I doubt if he can play in the conference final at all. Well, even if he does, the level of game will be super low. You know, inconsistency+injury...

Also Grant Hill is talking about coming back, again. Frankly, I'm not quite believing in that.

Yeah I know the Nets don't look that good but I don't like Boston so I'll still stick with the Nets. :P

The Lakers sound as if there aren't so sure if the will win the series especially since they have a need to mouth off now.

By the way did you see this story about PETA and the NCAA.
No leather
Whats the use of not using leather its not as if that is the only thing being used unlike in old time when hunters just took the skin and left the rest to rot.

I'm not fond of the Celtics either, esp. I don't like Antoine Walker.

Lakers' bad mouth is sth contrary to the zen masters teaching, or that ppl like Rick Fox and S. Walker are the representatives appointed by coach Jackson to light the fire? You know, he like psycho war or sth like that.

That's leather ball thing is stupid. We eat tons of cows everyday and it's ok to kill them for their meat, but not ok to make use of the skin that would otherwise be wasted? What kind of logic is that? :?

Stupid logic is what it is and its more of a pubilicty stunt then anything else.

Phil could be behind the recent words about the Kings but I think the Lakers are just a little worried about playing a team that can actually score on offense and play a little defense while they are at it.

Probably Wilson has pushed very hard for it.

I think the Lakers are right to worry, they don't have home court advantage and can't be sure they can win as always. But one thing they point out is true: if the Kings lose the first two home court game, they'll be crashed, but I don't think this is likely to happen...

Anywayz, the Lakers...where's my voodoo kit?
