Sitting outside with a cold beer in hand, eating a cool, summery salad with a dressing that's better than anything from a bottle (cheaper, too):

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 clove minced garlic
sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Summer's almost over and I'm both relieved and slightly sad.

Vodka and mint shisha from a hookah make a good combination.
So does vodka and bread(several kinds work) with a tomato based vinegrette.

Just yesterday my cousin and I got drunk and dusted off the Xbox for some Vice City as well. Drunkenly driving a golf cart while gunning down hookers, it's the American Dream in action, man. Pure Horatio Alger.

I start next Tuesday so this Friday I am running off to the A.T. for a four day hike to finish the summer off with blisters on my feet. Hooray!

- beach club bar-hopping (is that how you say that? In England I believe it's called 'pub crawling' but I see I'm mostly talkin to Americanos here)
- real fast car driving at night, curvy road through the woods
- checking out hawt chicks lying on the beach
- sipping on some long drink of choice (ma latest favs: becherovka+orangejuice+grenadine+crushed.ice OR ice+rum+pineapple juice+brown.sugar+limes. No, not heroin

There was also some lychee drink with lotsa crushed ice and brown sugar but I don't know the details.)
- good wine + film on laptop, late evening on the porch
- water sports
- bike trip
- basketball or whatever game you like

substitute lemon juice with some nice aceto balsamico di modena and you hit the nail on the head

(also add salt to vinegar/lemon juice before you add oil)

pub crawling is nice if you have enuff money. summers over for me, but i just got pissed a lot. had some bonfires, went camping once, shaved my head twice, la de da. jus hangin out with friends and being chill

its been a shit summer really. last summer there was more girly scent.

I started uni yesterday. And I've hat a nasty cold for the last week. Summer's definately over. :sad: But; I recommend sex in the morning and being late for your first class.

The thing is, I don't really drink much alcohol. I don't drink vodka straight, I generally don't drink beer (only to go with barbecue sometimes, which is seldom). If I drink stuff, it's wine (red, dry), or a tasty drink (like those), or some fortified wine (marsala/sherry/port) - I also dig Zabaglione

Zabaglione is the shit. But vodka-OJ-grenadine is a poor substitute for the real thing, a Tequila Sunrise. And take out the pineapple juice from the second one and you'd have a Caipirinha, a much manlier drink.

Red wine is usually too damn dry for me, although I do crave it from time to time. But I prefer it slightly chilled, not room temperature. The fruit flavors are more evident that way and it's not quite as dry.

no no no, 1. it's not 'vodka', it's Becherovka, and 2. I totally prefer it (at least in this combination) to tequila.
It's called 'magic sunset' - check here

I don't really care if my drinks are manly or not. You should know by now

Oh if you like zabaglione try to get Cremovo by Pelegrino for it (it's like an enhanced version of their white Marsala)
