Half-Life 2 is just...amazing. Playing it right now on my brother's Radeon 9600 Pro, works like a charm!
I think I'm set on the x800, unless any of you nVidia fans have a compelling arguement. Thanks for all of your input.

There is some stuttering during explosions, but even action heavy scenes I detect no noticable loss in frame rate. Pretty good considering my card (Radeon 9600 Pro) is at the upper end of the low-end spectrum for the quality of cards nowadays.
There are some problems with Half-Life 2, though. The story telling is something I am having a problem with, as I could not figure just why the vortigaunts are my friends now without having to go way out of my way to figure it out. But yeah, this game didn't disappoint me like how Doom 3 did. Kudos to that.

Scratch that, the story is going downhill almost as fast as Enron stock.
