Without it currency has no real core value really. gold is just lumps of metal, its value is just as much a social construct Not really since it's a limited resource and there is a cost to get it out of the ground. But yeah, we could use an aluminium standard or whatever it doesn't have to be good....

I'm going to start my own currency. Semen standard. Can't whip out an infinite amount each day. But I guess pooperscoooby would cause Weimar style inflation.

Well. Makes sense. Hyacinth really gives off hateish vibes. Hateacinth, master of macroagression, more like. Like the Swedish chef, but rather than Bork bork he's all hate hate. Disclaimer: if the aforementioned piece wasn't of flowery origins, please apply the points made above to the actual creato...

I'm all for it, should stop the central bank rampage.
Would be painful at first, but it's the only sound way. Without it currency has no real core value really.

I got a hernia in my navel. Not a big one but one nonetheless. My wife blames barbell squats, but I'm not sure. Gonna have it surgeonized but I fear they'll implant an alien like they did to Ripley. If I'm right I hope I get to pilot an exoskeleton robot thingy. I had this picking up a crate full o...

When sleep suddenly left me I found myself still sitting behind my desk. I groggily checked my wrist watch. 06:30. Where was Gimpmask? Why wasn't he back yet? I had thought the baltic connection would be an easy task. Had things gone awry? I wasn't one to worry about my aides, but I still wanted him...

The demasking of hyacinth, a DAC detective story

I leaned back in my office chair, which emitted the usual creaking in complaint, and took another sip of the cheap scotch from my water bottle. It had been a productive week, but one case still nagged me. Hyacinth. I fetched Gimp from the closet and fed him a weetabix https://duckduckgo.com/i/280698...

Good read, tho maybe a tad too brief on the answers. On the other hand I guess ppl won't read it if they're too long.

I'm having real fun with it, but in some ways it feels only half finished. Seems like once of those games that could be improved forever.

But it's great.

like most things I think understanding the source of your friends anger is the key issue. What is the actual triggering incentive? Are they always a bit angry and minor things put them over the edge, or can they go from 0-100 real quick? I think you should sit down with him and say 'what was your r...
