Talon Company? Any relation to Talon Squad from FOT? Gee attempt at continuity or just bankrupt for new ideas? Oh wait FOT isn't canon.we’ve made mention before that the Enclave are around, there’s Talon Company, and the Brotherhood of Steel has a splinter group as well.

Aha, so you're saying that each time my squaddie comes from the recruit pool he/she has a tagname and it is functional until the squad respawns on a new map? Hmm, Interesting. I have already wrote in recruit-masters to the storylines of some of my bigger maps, and now that I know this, I will be su...

Thanks for reminding me, it's the bloody spawn points not the world map that strip the tag names when you reload. Even using the goto mission command strips the tag names, so there goes an idea of a world map less campaign. Using the recruit pool to transfer npcs between maps is the only way, I can ...

You really think you're going to be able to implement all that without the source code? Mad-Doctor definately. Anyway since moving the deathtrap doesn't work there's a very simple if time consuming method of doing this within the editor. Divide your map into loads of small zones, each with it's own ...

Serious shit indeed, like re-writing half the engine. You are talking about not only getting the game to recognise a special art effect as an individual location on a level but then to do damage if an actor entity comes into contact with them. Even if that wasn't against the EULA do you really think...

There aren't any 'core text files' well not in the sense you mean. Good news is you can set up the triggers for the first map, and then save and import them into every other map, before adding level specific triggers. If you use the same set of tagnames on each level that'll save you a lot of work. ...

Don't you remember these critters from FO2? IIRC someone made a model of them for Thorgrimm's civ mod.

20th Century Fox are very protective of their IP by all accounts, especially with new Aliens games on the way. So you'd be better off doing an Aliens inspired mod rather than a direct conversion. Have you found an aliens model to convert to a sprite, or were you planning to make one? If the latter I...

There's already a system in place that can deal environmental damage, Deathtraps. Check mission 16 to see how they are set up, but place death traps around the map with a tagname and then either have them on all the time doing damage that certain types of armour resist or use zones and triggers to s...

Some of those look really good, and I'm tempted to replace some of the furniture in my maps. Though that means rebuilding the occlusion data and that takes forever. But (and yes there is a but so don't take it as a personal attack because it's not) applying a single stone or rust texture to som...

Do you always get so agressive when someone disagrees with you? Try that in the real world and your nose will get broken so many times your mug will end up uglier than your avatar. I bet if you were to play multiplayer games you'd be the kid who keeps quitting whenever they start to lose and would g...

Your opinion doesnt count (requiem and sniperpotatoe) it is shit. Sniperpotato has done more for the community than you ever will. Yeah you pointed out the problem, only in trying to defend your system by attacking this one. Only a real idiot or an attention whore tries to do one be...

Did you even read my whole post or are you just thick? I didn't say the player's response isn't important, I said recording it to the log isn't important. Why? Because the log screen is optional. The player's response is already shown in the multiple choice, you can play through FOT without ever goi...

One thing that should be noted is that world text entries like holodisc entries need a title to keep them seperate in the pipboy log screen. That title can be the player's option from the previous branch so you know which response you took. For example max_1_W = {[img]\n\n Hi there I'm Max have you ...
