Either that booster or if you use a no-cd exe (like me coz I play on my notebook), it will and does interfere.

Hmmm... I was actually forced to reformat and reinstall everything on this notebook just to get the booster to work. It complained that my windows installation was not complete, and so I had to rework everything.

What exactly does the booster do? Since it erased my custom files, it somehow bred mistrust inside me , so I'm kinda hesitant to use it...
and will it work with a no-cd .exe? I use that coz I'm playing in my notebook and don't like lugging the CDROM around.

I'm playing with custom characters and custom portraits. Unfortunately, FTbooster messes with those files, so that is not quite an option for me.
