Re: Computer bottlenecking?

It's definately the RAM / processor. And is x1950 oldschool? I have: AMD 64 FX-53 (that's pretty damn old 2 gigs of DDR400 radeon x1900 and I run basically everything on absolute max graphics. However, I find that the fan on the card is pretty shit and it doesn't always adjust to required temperatu...

Re: Computer bottlenecking?

I have a socket 478 2.5ghz Pentium 4 and 1.25gigs of DDR400 RAM. My graphics card is a x1950 Pro 512 AGP. Games run like shit even after a reformat and reinstall of XP. Is it because my processor is bottlenecking my graphics card or is it just because 2.5ghz is not enough anymore. Games that run li...

Well, the obvious, Fallout 1 and even 2, Planescape : Torment, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, those games weren't empty, weren't repetitive(though that is a matter of taste and opinions?) and weren't boring(seems like that is also a matter of taste and opinions?). I've played a few MMOs, Dark Age of Camelo...

For some unknown reason I registered for the beta years ago, and I got an email times ago to participate in it, then noticed it was an MMOG and decided not to try it. It looks like any other MMOG; empty, repetitive and boring. Atleast one of those three things can be said of nearly every game I hav...

Pirates of the Burning Sea

Anyone given this game a go? It's a pirate MMORPG. Been in production for a long assed time. As far as I can see, the game either hates my hardware because it keeps changing my system preferances or, the code is bad enough to cause random drops in framerate which causes the game to drop my settings....

DaC is filled with anime whores eh? I consider Akira in the same group as mainstream media. Its of the quality that you could put it in a theatre and lure people in to watch it. Some may enjoy it, some may not. Its not exceptional, but it isn't horse shit either. Quite honestly, I never understood t...

And I am pretty sure the book denotes that the main character is white. I kinda thought that as well, but I figured it wasn't that much of an issue as much as them changing the book around to fit the movie. Still, it might be good? Of course, skin colour is irrelevant in general. I get the feeling ...

Man, if I hadn't read the novel yet, I might think this movie looked good. The commericals and trailers are nothing like the book. And I am pretty sure the book denotes that the main character is white. I also figure the fact that a depressed man who drinks and listens to music wouldn't make for a g...

Its very linear as far as I am concerned but the choices you make actually have consequences. Events lead to other events and some quests have zero guidance to which way you handle them or if you even handle them at all. They all have consequences, except the massive amounts of sex you have with nea...

pictr gosh, i'm astounded -- astounded -- at how close that picture of you is to the mental caricature i had in my head all along. We all groom ourselves in our own special way. Its reflected on our general appearance towards the rest of the world. You don't look anything like I expected though. Lo...

I never look into the autoshow, but I always end up going.

I'd rather have the surprise considering half the shit doesn't get produced in Canada.

If it's the transmission I'm fucked. The car might be worth $700. I hope its just the fluid. The problem is I can't find the fucking dipstick and the owner's manual is nowhere to be found. Guaranteed it's the tranny. If it was low on fluid, it would fuck around in all gears, not completely ignore o...

If it's the spline gear, a tranny rebuild or new car is in your future.

I'll assume its a stick shift, considering if it is an automatic, well, you know.

That's what I did to Master of Orion 3, except I forgot to videotape it.
Nice, I have that game somewhere.

What did you do to it?

I love how people from other countries are very quick to point out any flaws in the American system of government and love to call Americans lazy fat and ignorant (and truly a large portion of us are) but then when asked where they'd like to live if they had a choice most of them overwhelmingly say...

Advent Rising

Alright, grabbed this game from EB for 5 bucks today and the fucking thing glitches during the tutorial. I'm at the shooting range, tells me to shoot the marked target and when I do, nothing fucking changes. I tried unloading the entire clip into it, into the other targets, into surrounding people a...

A DaC book club would be an awesome idea.

Generally, most people around here are well read. More-so than the average person today.

I think we lack the organization and crumpets though.
