With my luck 10 energy weapon build, it takes minutes to find the Alien Blaster early on and I generally use that the whole game.

Not so much. Me and my friend were watching Trailer Park Boys and wondering why my Fallout 2 wouldn't work. I went to take a leak and he made this account to make a thread asking for help (not this one.)

I like some rap, but I'm more of a rock/metal kind of guy.

The first time playing Fallout 1, hit f6 instead of f7 after being caught stealing from a police officer in the hub. :( Also, before that ruined my main slot, I couldn't figure out how to get down into the Glow. I was standing around the crater absolutely furious forever. I couldn't recharge the car...

I figured out how to mount the drive, but I'm not sure how to access fallout from there. Does anyone know what I could type? The directory to my fallout...

Right-click your Fallout icon on the desktop. Then go to properties and select 'windows 95' in the drop down box under the 'Compatibility' tab. Ok, I ran it in compatibility and it fixed the main problem. However, it now makes any saves that I do with it unloadable after I've left immediate game pl...

Try compatibility mode too. Also if it always happens at a certain point in the battle try and change what you do from little to radical, to get by the point. It worked for me a few times. I've tried doing things abit differently, but always the same result. I'll try this compadibility mode, thanks...

DOSBox is a DOS emulator that runs on WinXP. Currently (on a decent computer) it will run Fallout 1 without much problem. It's not the best, but it's a really small download, it's free, and it runs damn near any DOS game you throw at it. VirtualMachine is a multi-machine emulator (sort of) from Mic...

That's not so easy because I only got one computer. Is there any sort of emulator that I could use for one of these?

No, try the patch again or get it from another source. I used to have a similar problem with getting attacked in Fallout 1. If the blow would connect with me the game would crash. Fixed it with the patch.
Thanks, I'll try it.

Fallout 2 problems

Sorry for cross posting, but nobody would answer me in the other forum. When I play Fallout 2 and go into combat, 1/20 times (ficticious statistic) the game crashes to a black screen with an error and I have to ctrl+alt+delete to get rid of it. It always happens in the same place of a battle in whic...

Whilst it would be difficult to execute without being extremely camp, it might be interesting to set it after Fallout 2, show that slowly people began to rebuild... and someone went and started another nuclear war (somehow), destroying the world again. Hmm, or maybe not. I think that would b...
