You have a right to be concerned....as do we all King
King_of_Creation You are 100% right from that standpoint, I have played Morrowind briefly and I wasnt impresssed one little bit. I just watched someone playing Arcanum and I felt like playing it, I felt like buying it. I checked out the Troika page and noticed that they also have available TOOLS FOR...

Good point.
The King oF Creation Wrote: They just thought "hey!!!11! u1tR4 k3wl l3wt!!11!!" and snatched it out of the hands of game devs that were more competent than they were. Apparently they were more interested in the fallout property and in the best position to develop 'something' than the othe...

you might be right king
Who knows what those guys are up to, we will be the last to know. I am sure that their primary focus is how to market whatever they puke up not on game design. And yes the thought of fallout with magic no matter how it is disguised is UGLY isnt it, but i put nothing past the dollar mongers...NOTHING...

Not going to happen...
Now, since Bethesda really doesn't have a Fallout plan at all, and Troika has actually said they have one, and Obsidian being good and all, what do you think are the chances that Bethesda might up and sell Fallout to Troika or Obsidian, due kinda to all the flack that Beth has been recieving from F...

Man that's too funny.. and right on target Lunchmeat Just imagine a fat ass like vic bitching and whining, 'this armor is too tight' , or I can hardly breathe oof! , or This body armor is rubbing my armpits raw! as he waddles around trying to keep up. And shouldnt such an NPC take a little agility h...

interesting what about.....
Now another question, in FO2 the NPC's could wear various types of armor but they always looked the same. The reason was supposed to be that they didnt want a bunch of clones running around that all looked the same. Also I think that the reason that none of the human NPC's could use heavy weapons wa...

good comments
In fallout you are the leader and your NPC's are your troops I do not want to see fallout3 be ta tactical game but seriously if you are going to hit a raiders stronghold wouldn't you expect your 'hirlings' to be able to accept simple instructions and execute a simple plan? Its not all that complex f...

I agree jj86
The shots I saw of VanBuren looked alright to me I could live with that nothing wrong with a near isometric perspective generated by a 3D engine. I simply don't like following 1st person for an RPG its just to restrictive. A change I would like to see in fallout 3 is having real tactical control ove...

ominous signs of treachery
Pete Hines: We're not going to go away from what it is that we do best. We're not going to suddenly do a top-down isometric Baldur's Gate-style game, because that's not what we do well. Saint Proverbius says: Actually, that was from a phone interview Petey Hines did with IGN, and IGN basically fuck...

I agree....
Damn it... Whats wrong with bows? I mean wouldn't Tribal trash and the like use primitive weapons. I mean if not cross bows at least bows. The idea of improvised weapons was basically shouted down because they were not in FO1/FO2/FOT and in that there is some merit. But I cant ignore that fact that...

crossbow materials
If crossbows were being made in the fallout world: The makers could get the material for the stocks from the same place where the gunrunners get wood for their gun stocks. Or they could fashion skeleton stocks from aluminum or light steel tubing. For the prods or limbs spring steel is an excellent m...

Now I wouldnt mind some of the more agressive 1950's rock and roll made it into FO3 'great balls of fire' you can do anything that ya wanna do but don't be stepping on my blue sued shoes! seriously though a bunch of heavy metal would reek on Fallout3 eventhough I am a metal head. I like the old fall...

introducing new items.
PsychoSniper says: It all boils down to this. Why have new weapons like crossbows when we havent seen them in Fallout ? Fallout is supposed to be a 50's THEMED retrofutrure in a PA setting. Where, from the 50's theme that FO is based on, would crossbows come into play ? That statment make alot of se...

Bethesda needs to be more concerned about the people who won't buy the game if it's not like Fallout. Thats a fact, write it in stone we have been starved for a new fallout RPG for years we tolerated FOT because the game has some interesting things about it but we puked when they made BOS and none ...

my fears
1)That FO3 is Morrowind with guns 2)That FO3 is a dipshit console game that runs on a PC 3)That the 3D player models look like angular faceted crud 4)The perspective is not isometric. 5)The creators miss the whole point of the game 6)That the game doesn't have the option of CTB mode I will stop there

a pack mule
I wouldnt mind having the option of purchasing a recalcitrant pack mule that has some personality. Of course if you had a pack mule that would make you a target for predators like deathclaws and wild dogs wolves etc. Imagine if you went to your pip boy and hit rest for 6 hours but in that time a pac...
