Max-Violence's resource for
25/09/04: The Map Hub's Interim GovernmentHey people, this is Retlaw83, trying to bring some order back to one of DaC's hosted sites.
Since Max-Violence seems to have disappeared, and since this seems to be the only outlet on DaC for community-created FoT stuff, I thought it would be good to update this place. Right now I don't plan to completely take over the Map Hub; if Max-Violence crops up at some point, I will gladly hand the reigns back to their rightful owner.
This update consists solely of correcting the links that still point to www.thevats.net and www.duckandcover.net. The next update will include a link to my DaC exclusive mod and some wonderful weapons created by xbow, so stay tuned!
2/25/2004: Holy sweet mercy! An UPDATE!!!
No, I'm not dead. I just felt like it for a while :(
Anyway, in case you haven't been up-to-date with the goings on of the DaC forums, I'll wrap it up: My FOT mapping inspiration has returned. I'm sick of working on Revenge. I've started a new map, Dustville. Head on over to the maps page for more info (including... *gasp* screenshots!!!)
I'll probably stick to making single, non-connected maps from here on out. Chances are I'll do a mini-series at some point, however.
11/17/2003: New... MAP!!! Sorta...
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, etc, etc, etc, the time has come for a BRAND SPANKIN' NEW MAP!!!
Well, kinda. It's actually a beta test of a map. That means A) Might be some bugs in it, and B) it might be too easy or too hard.
Stroll on over to the Revenge page to get your hands on Revenge 3 - Escape.
In other news, I have a rather large amount of new tiles to share. Unfortunately, I lack the time to upload them and update the pages. I'll probably post 'em the same time I post the finalize Revenge 3.
10/1/2003: New EVERYTHING!!!
That's right, ladies and germs, I have new sprites AND tiles to share!
On the tiles front, Requiem has made some rather awesome-looking Desert Stone tiles. Don't take it from me, see for yourself!
On the sprite front, Requiem and OnTheBounce have made a LOT of new stuff! Destroyable doors (Requiem), an extendable bridge (also Req), and every single sprite from Fallout and Fallout 2 (OTB) are just a few of the multitudes of new sprites! Go have a look!
That's all for today. However, next week, I shall post some MORE tiles and some (*gasp*) screenshots of my current project, Revenge 3.
8/20/2003: New tiles AND new sprites AND...
A rather large update today, folks. Fitting, seeing as how I haven't updated the site in... over a month! *gasp*
Anyway, the good news is that I've LOTS of stuff to share! First off are some new tiles made by Senor Deluxe. They are, quite simply, sweet. Observe.
More good news: I have not one, not two, but THREE new sprite packs! Two are by seraglio (rifles and SMGs), and the other is made by Macbeth. Macbeth's sprite pack has so much stuff in it, I'm not even going to try to summarize it here. Just go get all three of 'em and pretend I'm not lazy, OK?
Sorta-good-news-kinda: I continue to work on Revenge3. I say "sorta" good news because the new semester is starting in two short weeks, and that will take a chunk of time out that I get to work on FOT stuff.
7/18/2003: New ti... er, I mean... new SPRITES!
Thanks to seraglio, I have not one, but TWO new sprite packs! Both are of pistols, and both are sweeeeeeeet! Don't take my word for it, see for yourself!
In Revenge3 news, thanks to Senor Deluxe, I can finish up ALL of the tilework for the map! Yay!
7/9/2003: Yep, you guessed it!
MORE new tiles! These are from a guy called Senor Deluxe. Pretty damn spiffy, I'd say. Have a look!
In RV3 news, I'm done with all major tilework. That's the good news. That bad news is that I have a lot of detailing to do, of which is just a lil' bit monotonous. Also in the "good news" category is that I'm 95% done with the entities for the map. Yay!
By the way, I'm still listening for ideas on how to better post news.
6/17/2003: Yet MORE new tiles!
Ed the Monkey has created some purdy Vault 15 tiles. Go get 'em!
Progress on Revenge3 has picked up a good bit. I've about 25% of the major tilework to do yet, so that means I'm about 75% done with the major tilework. Yey!
As far as news for this site goes, I'm in the process of trying to figure out a better way to post news. Some kind of archiving system er somethin'... any ideas?
5/26/2003: More new tiles!
Cheers to some guy by the name of Requiem_for_a_Starfury, I've another tile pack to share with the masses! Lookie!
In other news, I must apologize for my lack of working on Revenge3 as much as I'd like to. Real-life just won't go away sometimes (ever had a girl you really, really, really liked completely DUMP on you?), but I guess that's how life goes sometimes :(
5/11/2003: MISC #2
Changed the colors of the text for links and redesigned the maps page. Wowzerz.
5/7/2003: New tiles & Map update!
Thanks again to Requiem_for_a_Starfury, I have some new tiles to share with all my/our/the fellow FOT mappers out there! Go check 'em out!
In other news, I'm about 50% done with the tilework for Revenge 3. Yey!
4/27/2003: Oops #2...
Forgive me, for I have sinned. The link I posted for RB2's missing sprites was wrong. Not now, though!
4/19/2003: Oops! :)
Thanks to Requiem_for_a_Starfury, I have updated Revenge 2's .zip file with the corrected version of the .mis. If you've started playing it already, I'm sorry, I goofed up and put the version I was using for testing in the zip instead. NOW, however, I'm 100% sure everythin's good-to-go. Please download the updated version of the .zip and restart. Thanks!
4/17/2003: Revenge2 is upon us!!!
To celebrate the special occasion of me getting my own damn website, I have a treat in the form of a NEW MAP TO PLAY!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! Check the Revenge page for it!
4/17/2003: SITE OPENS!!!
Well, here it is. My home on the Internet for all my FOT maps. Not the prettiest nor the fanciest, but it's better than Geocities. Sorta. Only the contact and links pages are somewhat finished. The maps page is, to put it lightly, under construction.
MEGA-BIG-HUGE thanks to Kreegle and the rest of Duck and Cover for this wonderful opportunity to show the world how bad I am at making web pages! Cheers!
