Fallout: New Vegas error code 51

I'm getting error code 51 whenever I try to run Fallout: New Vegas. I bought it through steam, and the game worked for 2 days until they patched it, and now I just get this error when I try to play it. I've verified the game cache, and it even tells me that there's a missing file, but when i try to download it, it doesn't end up downloading anything. Reinstalling didn't do anything. Does anyone know what I can do to try and fix the problem?

I got that when I pirated the game. Find a cracked version, and tell the assholes at Steam to shove'it.
