drawing pad 3 D:

Got great hand-eye coordination? Here's the place to show it off. You can also upload your work (images, audio, and video) and view our fan art gallery (currently defunct, bug forum management to fix it).
This is also the forum for all of you blossoming Camus' to exercise your brain power by writing and posting fan fiction.

drawing pad 3 D:

Post by Megatron »

I started a new thread because I thought the other one was a bit full and I've got a bit better (mabye) ?

Plus I wasn't getting as much feedback, though the forums are slow. But I'd prefer if you just looked at my drawings, thought they were shit then told me why than look at my drawings, think there shit then go to another forum. Or even worse, tell me that there good even though they're shit.

But anyway:

First real attempt at shading mabye? A bit sketchy, but I don't know what else to try. I suppose a mix of colour, layers with screen/multiply and this could work but...meh. Need more time. I know the drawings aren't very good, should have spent more time on the second one and the arms...

anyway again

Disturbing... a bit more detail and it turns into intriguing.

I'm lovin' it! (tm)

How many layers were there?

Heh I usually only use like 4... but for my "masterpiece" I had three sketch layers then a detail layer for the inking, and a separate layer for each color. Same deal for the background, I'd imagine.

I like the ribbing / whatever on the arm. ;)

usually I do a pre-sketch thing, which is basically the outline and how I want to position stuff and lower the opacity. Then I create a new layer with a transparent background and start the actual drawing, then do the details. If there's colour I add a layer, colour it a basic colour then any other major features and put that under my first sketch.

Recently I've also added a shading layer, so about 5 layers? For this I think I had 14 layers as I did it all seperately.

I use one layer for everything..If I can't do it right, I just erase and start over..I tried to do the layered thing..But it took too long, and I get bored easily.

Pretty great stuff. I'm secretly seeing a penis and a vagina in the first one, though. Need to get the brain fixed.

If you haven't seen them before, those are 2 davide cartoons?

I was thinking about animating some stuff, but it sucked a bit. I might try again though, I like animating.

Anyway, here's a gif of a house and a tree. I've taken photos out of my window since april and this is a small part of all the photos. It's in reverse chronological order and last 49 seconds.

Nice expression!

If you make the gif faster, it could look like a distorted view from someone's eyes?

you should buy a tripod and nail it to the ground or something, they would look a lot better if the camera wasn't so shaky
