<html><body><P>I’ve seen brief mentions of this game at <A HREF=http://vdhp.glt.pl target=_blank>Vault Dweller’s homepage</A>, but never knew what to make of it because everything was in Polish. Today <B>j200</B> sent an explanation of what <A HREF=http://angrenost.org/~trinity target=_blank>Trinity</A> is all about:</P><blockquote><em>All starts from chosing our parents. A couple of different personalities, with different traits, social status and skills. By chosing parents for your character you decide about some traits your character will recive in the moment of birth. Later all of them can be modified. You also decide how old will you start your adventure. When you will finish creating your character it's time for the creating of the world. In that case you will place the frontline and chose where the a-bombs will drop. You press [Enter]... Year 2002. War is a fact...</em></blockquote><blockquote><em>Main features<UL><LI> full 3d, pseudo izometric view with the ability to rotate the camera<LI> FUDGE rpg system (<A HREF=http://www.fudgerpg.com/ target=_blank>http://www.fudgerpg.com</A>)<LI> building the world by placing the frontline and chosing where the nuclear bombs exploded<LI> complicated system of NPC's and quests interdependent from the world that we created</UL></em></blockquote><P>There’s some concept images <A HREF=http://bug.ii.uj.edu.pl/fallout/vdhp/tr ... afika.html target=_blank>over here</A>. An English translation is supposedly on the way.</P></body></html>

In 99% there will be turn-based combat and quest system far more complicated than in Fallout.
Story designers (with me on board) are now working on quest and scenario. I have now 548 quests to verify and comment .
PS. More materials will be translated and available shortly.
PPS: Rydiak, that wasn't funny .
Atterntion: If you know polish and want to help Trinity, translate our page. For more info, mail me or send me PM

Of course it was funny, it makes fun of the Poles. If it makes you feel any better I'll bust out this issue of Mad Magazine with an article titled "American Jokes They're Telling in Poland" by Frank Jacobs. You can tell these to your buddies who work on those new submarines with the screen door I've been hearing about.
Q:Why Does it take 3 Americans to change a lightbulb?
A:One to stand on the ladder, and two to carry enough lightbulbs until one is found that isn't defective.
Q:How can you tell when it's midnight at an American Airport?
A:When you see the 8:00 PM flights taking off.
Q:Why do American 18-year-olds take Sex Education Courses?
A:So they can figure out what they've been doing wrong for the past five years.
Q:What's gray, sits on a window sill and hums, and dies mysteriously 91 days after you bring it home?
A:An American air conditioner with a 90-day warranty.
Q:How many members of "The American Association of Honest Automobile Mechanics" attended last year's convention?
A:Both of them.
Q:What's brown and deformed with it's insides hanging out?
A:A parcel in an American Post Office marked "Fragile".
Q:What do you call a TV set in America that goes five years without need of repair?
A:An "Import".
Q:How can you tell when it's two hours after a terrible American automobile accedent?
A:By the arrival of the Ambulance.
Q:What do you call a letter mailed in Dallas on a Thursday, and arriving in Ft. Worth a week from the following Monday?
A:"Special Delivery".
Q:How can you tell when you're on an American beach?
A:By the oil slick in the water.
Q:What's the record number of late-night strolls through an American urban ghetto?
A:One.
Q:How can an American be certain that the car he's bought is actually new?
A:When it's recalled by the factory.
Q:What happened when the American doctor made a house call?
A:The patient died of shock.
Q:What do American unions call walking off their jobs, stricking unlawfully, and crippling an entire city?
A:"Collective Bargaining".
Q:What's black on the inside, white on the outside, and polluted?
A:Any large American cuty.
Mind you these are from the 70's so they're a tad out of date.
Right now I can't understand any of that Polish jibber jabber, but this word here, potrzebę looks an aweful lot like portzbie, dare I say, Mad Magazine strikes again? This FUDGE interests me, because I like fudge and my freind likes to gobble up anything regarding the making of games. I'll have to show him that next time I see him.

George Bush lowered taxes so the Jews could kill Michael Moore.

Trinity will have more overwhelming atmosphere. Life after nuclear war isn't so easy like presented in Fallout. You'll have to fight for your life.Negadas wrote:How much more post nuclear can you get?

Fallout took place a few decades after the world was nuked.Kaczor wrote:Trinity will have more overwhelming atmosphere. Life after nuclear war isn't so easy like presented in Fallout. You'll have to fight for your life.Negadas wrote:How much more post nuclear can you get?
How do you know how hard you have to fight? D:
Action in Trinity will take place about 15, maybe 20 yers after the war - so it'll be more post-nuclearMegatron wrote:Fallout took place a few decades after the world was nuked.

let us (i.e. DAC people) just hope it'll come out at all, and IF it comes out let's hope it'll be good. For the time being, let us (i.e. Poles) not boast, for there is nothing to boast about yet, and might never be (though I hope Trinity is going to be a superb post-apoc cRPG)

It's long way to finish Trinity. I hope that we'll have enough eagerness to finish it.
