Send me the file(s) and I could try to "convert" it... In the process I could make the tutorial (with nice snapshots) |

Hey Red,
Great viewer you designed if I can figure out how to work it correctly.
Is there any chance you'll make a basic tutorial
on how to work it and how to set up bounding box correctly so that when you are trying to make new pic for tile the program keep's everything there like it's suppose to be(like you had intended it when you made the editor, I've tried all your viwers that are out same problems!
Thank's for the tool!! jc577 |

I'll make one eventually I guess. As I mentioned, send me something worth converting and I'll work on one as I convert it.

I've just sent JJ and uploaded to NMA a small step by step guide to importing a zar and creating a new tile in Redviewer. I don't know how long it'll be before you can download it but if it hasn't appeared by the end of the week pm me your email and I'll send it to you direct. |

Sorry I had'nt checked this post sooner I forgot about it till just now.
I got the tutorial off of JJ's site. It's to bad I did'nt ask sooner because
that shows more clearly what I needed to do in Redviewer . Well at least now I can keep it in my files.
Thank's so much!!!!

Hey Red,
Sorry haven't gotten back sooner, Thank's for
offer of doing some conversion work. I do have some that I think are worth converting I'll dig them out and send them off to you.
One question say I have a military vehicle I
want to convert for FOT's. Do I go through the same process as what the sprite making tutorial
talks about?
Also as far as animating it do I just use the existing
scripting files and just change the name of the sprite?
Thank's jc577 |

First, RedViewer doesn't support sprite saving (yet).
JJ86 made a sprite making tutorial for SPRAY, albeit it is limited to sprites without any compression (ie: anything else than chracters and vehicles).
The good news is that I've finally reinstalled my computer after something like a 6month delay and reinstalled VB6 w/ sp6 and VSS; and added RedViewer to VSS; and everything now works correctly.
This means I can finally get to do some coding soon! Yey! |

Have you tried installing the MSI version first and then updating to the latest version? |

It should be on NMA downloads or JJ's tutorial pages. |

Hi requiem,
Thanks for info, also thank's for the reply on
what's been going on here at DaC. I'm sorry
to here that people have moved on.
This time time next year I'll be enrolling in Full
Sail Graphics Design school I'll be taking the
courses for game development and design.
So it looks I'll be pretty busy, but I'll always
find time for working on my mods and such.
Well take care and I hope the future holds much
fortune and promise for you!!
