Broken quests, may contain spoilers

Post by Stainless »

- Sulik's Sister
- Bugmen
- No, you can't acess the seperate room on the oilrig
- Sulik's tribe
- Yellow Klamath Keycard
- EPA location
- Abby location
- Save DeathClaws
- Medicine to Gecko
- Retina Scanner on San Francisco Docks
- Sending Hubologists to Space

That's all I can come up with on the top of my head. Feel free to post in here, ones that aren't in the list.

Might also put things in here which you can't do, which get alot of questions.

Cheers

One day, eh?

Yes, this is a good idea.

I'm thinking whenever someone posts a new quest, we can just update your list, Stainy.

How about that yellow keycard in Klamath? That's a worthless object for a missing quest...Not sure what that quest was meant to be....But the object's not worth a crap.

I always thought that would goto the bunker in the toxic caves. Why else would there be a patrol sent up there?

you missed one massive broken quest:
-Get medical supplies to Gecko from VC to seal the deal on the power plant issue.

They're talking about proving those brothers are the bugmen.

Here's a question: Was there a mod out there that fixed this quest? An unofficial patch, maybe?

I KNOW I've done that quest...Finding the Radscorpian Limbs/Claws..Taking them to the guy that owns the bar, and telling him about the Duntons..Then he arrests them, and you've got free stuff when you pick the lock to their abandoned store.

I'm absolutely positive I've done it.

I know I've never managed to solve that, and I've tried several times. But then I have the mega-bugged game that doesn't let me finish anything... I should shut up :)

That's a broken quest, though....

I don't know if I downloaded some unofficial patch that fixed it, or what..I've not run across that patch/mod since then, though...I've not gotten it to work in the regular store-baught game....But I know I've done that quest.

Which on is that one? You mean the quest you get from Brain right, to talk to McClure about optimising the planet?

Lynette's a major bitch... and to make things worse, her dialogue is pretty buggy.

I'm like, Look I can fix their plant, the water will become clean and everyone's happy, and she's all, no just "take care of it in another way", so I'm like, so you want me to massacre their town right, and she's all, omg wat r u insinuatin, i haet you now, you can tell becuase im frowning liek a bitch, and i'm like "bitch be cool!", but her guards attacked me anyway :sobstory:

And here I thought her reaction when you ask "So you want me to massacre them?" had to do with her perfect ideology of being superior, and as such she can't of course ask a complete stranger to massacre the city next to hers. She can't even hint that she want it to be done. *nudge, nudge* See what I mean?

*blink*

Wait... Why am I bothering spelling that out?

the gecko thing is supposed to go: (iirc)
-you get a quest to "stop radiation" from leaking into VC's water. this means you get the hy-mag and fix the gecko plant.
-next you can use the optimization data on both the reactor and VC's computer to (i think connect them) along with make the plant run clean.
--Missing part!
-you're then supposed to be able to ask mcleur about gecko's medical supply issue (harold talks something about this) and you're supposed to be able to take the bag of med's etc... to gecko and then you won't get that "enslaved gecko" ending, and everyone's happy.
