How does one become a mod or an admin?

The best way to become a mod is not to ask to become one, be active on the site, and be at fairly civil and/or helpful.

PS. Nicolai, Soldier is asking a question, not suggesting that he or someone else be made a mod. So GD is a perfectly appropriate place for this topic.

What interest would one have in knowing how to become a mod/admin if one wasnt going to try to become an admin/mod?

As a general rule of thumb, if you ask to be a mod/admin out of the blue, you'll never, ever be a mod/admin.

You have to like know what you're doing, and be in da know about whatever you're modding. Or, be an asshole. Either way works. Also you've got to like know everybody and not be a newb.

I don't see why everyone want modship, alot of people just end up abusing their mod power anyway. The whole mod thing should just be done away with, in my opinion.

The best way to become a mod is to hang around for a long time, make yourself useful, don't be an idiot. Stuff like that.

The first rule of Modship is you never talk/ask about Modship.
