Freedom Fighters?

Post by Viktor »

Anyone else heard/know of this forthcoming PC game?

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/freed ... eview.html

Squad based fps in an alternate timeline were the Soviet Union is the dominant global power and has launched an invasion agianst mainland USA. You can get more NPCs to join you as you gain experience and "charisma" by completing missions - shades of SPECIAL??

I might have to get me a demo of this while waiting for HL2...

IIRC there was an In Da Newz thread when the demo came out. I played it a bit -- pretty fun, although the lack of in-game save (any saving, actually) turned me away after I died for the 12387th time. I would assume that the full game has saving. If not... and I'm not getting it.

the demo was pretty good. and why did you need a save option when it was only one level? pretty easy even in hard mode.

I keep getting this one confused with Freedom Force, which was made by Irrational and is apparently really good.

The demo was pretty fun. I liked shooting barrels and making large groups of enemies die from the explosion. Thats because if its a barrel, it has to explode if you shoot it.

Dude, take my advice. It's quite average. Don't trust PCG US, they gave Alpha Centauri 98 freaking percent. It's going to be one of the greatest bargin bin games though.

Freedom Fighters is pretty cool. But the demo is abit linear though... hope the demo will be more realitsic and not a one way shooting alley.
