I need a registry cleaner, perferable one that automatically does it for you since I'm not that hardcore. It needs to be FREE and LEGAL, because I'm not installing that kazaa junk again.

Hmmm.
I used Reg Cleaner for a while and it was pretty good.
But now, it's not free anymore (since like 2 months).
If you can find an old free version, go ahead, really nice prog :)

The most thourough one available is format.com. It is included on the Win98 start disk. It not only "cleans" your registry, but it removes any unnecessary applications, documents, internet settings, drivers, spam-programs (stuff like gator), viruses, and operating systems.

Killa, kan it. No, not a good idea, but I don't think that Pooper is stupid enough to try that anyway.

easycleaner, do a search on google, download teh one made by toniarts

System Mechanic, it has a registry cleaner and other cleaners.

I use jv16 PowerTools...Great program..Sort of confusing at first, but it does damn near everything. Be warned, though..Some of the registry entries it says are "OK" to delete might not be...I fucked up my flash playability in IE, and now I can't customize my folders...BUT...I got rid of about 4000 useless entries...The two things mentioned above are the only problems I noticed.
