I am searching for a name of a rock song that was played by a German band, and it was very popular in the usa during the eighties. Problem is I donÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢t know almost anything about them, I know the singer was a woman and that's it. Does anybody know anything about this song?

that would be nena, as heard in the vice city soundtrack, the english version is 99 red balloons, luftballons has a better ring to it i think

9 out of 10 it' s Nena with 99 Luftballons like Avenger said. I can' t recall any other German band or song that might sound cool.

I thought all the music in Vice City fucking sucked. There may have been several exceptions, but overall it was pretty shitty.

What? The music in Vice City was pretty well put together. Not everything was great but it offered a lot of variety. I found a lot of songs that I previously hated, I kind of liked. I didn't like the rock station very much though. But the two new wave stations were good, the Fever station rocked, and the rap station was kinda fun to listen to.

They didn't "do" the Mortal Kombat sountrack, they just had one or two songs on there. Whatever, they kick ass way more than any other eighties German band. Or any other German band for that matter. Especially Ramstein.
