Beer and cigarettes

Post by satanisgreat »

What's your brand of both, if any?

Me? I'm a Camel filter man for cigarettes. Beer, I prefer Budweiser, Molson Ice, Guiness (when I have the money), just about anything that's not Light.

The only "beer" I've ever had was Miller Lite, and it tasted like shit. I somehow managed to drink 6 bottles of it and only get semi-drunk.

In my opinion it was pretty overrated. Maybe I didn't drink enough or whatever but I could still act pretty coherent if I wanted to.

Little story about beer:

First time I ever drank beer it was at my sister's 21st birthday party and it was Keystone Light, possibly the worst beer in existence. I counted 26 of them that I drank before I lost count. Don't remember much else about that night...

Concerning cigarettes i confine myself to filtered Marlborro's. Im rather ambivalent towards tabacco shit, but smoke it nonetheless. I intend to give it up in a year or so. I reluctantly admit that i sincerely enjoy smoking :(

I mostly drink Dutch, including: Bavaria, heineken, Grolsch and Amstel.

Beer? Kilkenny (Irish) and Palm (Belgian) are my favourites, but I don't drink 'em every night...only if I feel like it. Generally, I drink Grolsch or Amstel. Heineken is piss. Bavaria is even worse.

I don't smoke, only weed. Which means I don't smoke joints either. Smoking can kill you.

Mostly I don' t drink, but if I do it is either Stella Artois, Palm or brown Leffe. Somehow foreign beers don' t appeal to me, just a matter of taste I guess.

My favorite brand is Belgam shag, tobacco, no filters for me. It' s much cheaper and tastes better. Again, it depends on taste. (or economics ;) )

ps: Hoegaarden tastes like piss! How much do you pay for Palm in Holland? Just curious.

Would that be Killian's Irish Red here in the States, by any chance? Has a knight (the chess piece) for a logo? That's damn good beer. Expensive, but good.

Sam Adams is great, too. Comes out of my fair city of Boston, and I'm not sure if it's available overseas.

Cigarettes: Camel Filters in a Hard Pack (I've got to be very broke before I'll compromise here, too.)

Beer: I haven't had a drop to drink since August of '99, although I was partial to Michelob Classic Dark at the time, which isn't even brewed any more.

I dread the taste of Camels. I once made the mistake of purchasing Camels in stead of conventional Marlboro....i wont soon forget :)

Rest assured, kind sir, that I feel exactly the same way about Marlboros. :D

However, it must be said that since you are in Holland you are not getting the same Camels that we in the US of A get. Just like I'm sure you wouldn't like the Marlboros marketed in Korea. (They have filters that are 3mm longer than US cigarettes, bringing the total length of the cigarette to 88 millimeters. Why 88mm? It's an "asian-thang"...)

I assume those extra 3 inches deliver increased filtering? Buh, i find Asian inscrutable in many ways, not just their production protocol :)
