2010 films; the dac awards, the truth?

Post by Megatron »

since this is theoretically the Last Month of the year, y not have a wee retrospective to the year of our lord twenty thousand and ten aldo dominos.

Avatar came out. It was about some aliens, wheelchair warez, some other shit. Did you see it in stunning 3D or download it, woo boy. I thought it was really fucking long, the story was a bit shit and it wasn't that stunning or amazing if you've ever seen a record from the 70s.

Image

The other film I can remember from this year was Inceptors about leonardi dicaprio incepting a thought child into 28 days later brain pipe through the art of video games. A lot of people didn't understand it due to the snow level at the end. I thought it was good enough but nothing much to jizzzz over. luckily for the internet though it respawned memes and shit LOL

Image

Besides these 2 there was a lot of animated movies out this year that i didnt bother with although i did was Toy Story 3 the other day. I was told beforehand that this was the saddest thing since finding out death exists but it wasnt that sad, glad or mad. i liked It though

Image

here is a list of films people downloading camrips of in case youve been to drunk this year to remember some of the classics
GREEN ZONE
REPO MEN
HOT TUB TIME MACHINE
KICK ASS
THE A-TEAM
TWILIGHT ECLIPSE
EAT PRAY LOVE
THE EXPENDABLES
THE SOCIAL NETWORK

ive seen some of these films. some were even good or alright. id say my favourite this year was enter the void. it was bad at parts but overall had a good vibe if you can dig that. otherwise i enjoyed 'the road', i think that came out this year. since this is a post-apoc site im half surprised more people havent watched it but thats ok as there has been a lot of episodes of 30 rock to watch in between all the festivals dacers must have been going to, rad!

id say generally with the big bucks half-invention of 3D people will remember this year for that. i still havent seen a 3d film in the cinema as i dont really care and most people ive talked to say that the adverts at the start were the most 3D bits. at the moment its mostly been used for action films, although im guessing in 2011 well see it in more general ways such as the introduction of 3D porn in cinemas or what have you.

3d isn't anything you will remember, every movie that has the option between 2d and 3d I will always pick 2d from now on unless it's some super major big budget movie in imax then I will make an exception.

This year wasn't a bad year for movies had some good movies like Inception and the social network, the expendables wasn't bad either. The only thing is that pretty much every year I will say the same thing since there is usually atleast a few good movie that came out.

I sadly want to watch the Twilight saga since I feel like kristen stewart needing to choose between 2 vamps gosh.

The road was last year but I saw it this year and I liked it even though it was kind of depressing. I would have liked to know more of the back story but maybe it was like that in the book too.

Despicable Me was pretty awesome and Inception gave me that piss funny South Park episode.

I still haven't seen Inception, I guess it's worth renting?

People talk about Eat Pray Love a lot - worth watching?

Same goes for Despicable Me, Social Network and A-Team: are they any good?

Avatar was really 'meh', especially since it had been hyped so incredibly much beforehand.

Toy Story 3 was good.

Kick-Ass was good, except it would've been ten times better if they had kept the original comic book story line. Now it went all 'pew-pew-hollywood-bang-bang' towards the end. Too much rainbows and sunshine in general, considering that the original comic was really, really dark.

Expendables was so 'meh' that it's hard to find anything so mediocre and average to compare with. In my books it's now the dictionary reference to 'completely average movie'.

Hot Tub Time Machine and Green Zone were both good. Better than average, nothing spectacular. GZ tries a bit too much, but almost pulls it through. HTTM is what it is and doesn't apologise. I like that.

I actually saw the Human Centipede with a friend with netflix streaming, I basically said "want to see one of the grossest movies ever?" and he said "sure, i don't want to study tonight anyways."

The movie was pretty bad but the idea of the human centipede started a few discussions between us of if we had to be one would we be A, B, or C. Of course we both chose A but perhaps C wouldn't have been that bad either.

Problem with the movie was the creepy fucking doctor. The Jap was funny, chicks had small tits, and how could a crippled doctor kill two detectives? It was a funny flick either way just couldn't get it off my mind for at least a week.

Relayer, fuck yeah.

Must see movie of the year is Inception, even if it is just overcomplicated for the sake of it and rather false-intelligent. Kinda like Lost, now that I think of it. Still, it's entertaining, even if the best thing about it is the south park episode it spawned.

Flick of the year for me is Splice. Humans. Fuck. Aliens. (actually genetically engineered freaks) That's all you need to know. And about bloody time too.

i thought toy story 3 was very good. xD
It was sort of sad and dark, not something you would expect from that.

The road was awesome too.

I loved inception... it was intense...

It was pretty good and I still find it disturbing how my math tutor thought that young girl in it was "hella of cute" and i gave him a lesbian stare.
