Why didn't they called it Fallout 4? Is it like an expansion? Shorter? And storywisem, it's a sequel?? |

It's a sequel to Fallout 2. Bethesda calls New Vegas a spin-off - I'd imagine numbered Fallout titles from here on out will be made by Bethesda, so look forward to more mediocrity, and they'll count as official sequels.
Although, with this huge influx of cash Zenimax just got, I wouldn't be surprised if they bought Obsidian and set them to work making the subsequent Fallouts while Bethesda continues to fuck Elder Scrolls in the mouth. |

It is, essentially, the bastard child of Fallout 2, the ACTUAL Fallout 3, but only the post-Van Buren abortion version. It's like if Momma Fallout aborted the true child and was raped by some stranger, producing the technical heir to the throne that no one loved, but then Pappa Fallout's best friend snuck in and made sweet love to Momma Fallout producing a child she may not think is perfect, she still recognizes as her own.
Bethesda calls it a spinoff, and it utilizes the same game engine and whatnot, so it's not a game unto itself, but it's on the opposite coast, and only set after Fallout 3 because Bethesda demanded it, and, as far as I've seen, there are no references to Fallout 3 [again, that I've seen]. |

There's a few mentions of Fallout 3 "canon," like electrical lines being underground and Enclave Hellfire armor. |

At the risk of sounding like a colossal philistine, I'm gonna throw this out there: Ranger Combat Armor combined with the Ballistic Fist is perhaps the coolest looking weapon/armor combo in the game. |

Well fuck, ran into my first game halting glitch. Whenever I return to a quest-giver early in the Caesar's Legion questline, the game crashes. Good thing I waited this long to start that storyline, aye? Ah well, I can skip straight to an audience with Caesar, but I am curious what all the in between missions were like... |

Forgot to ask; do they have the original Power fists or just the piston gloves being called Power fists? |

I'm dealing with it the way I know best.
Fucking your sister whilst your mother gets hot off the action.
Very therapeutic. |

Anyone else disappointed with the .223 pistol/that gun's looks and stats? They pussified it. |

Gonna go ahead and call bullshit on everyone who claims New Vegas is "less bleak" than Fallout 3. The visuals are brighter, but the themes as well as the ruthlessness with which they are executed are far, far darker in tone. |

*PRETTY BIG BUT NOT TOO MAJOR SPOILERS*
I kinda dig the game but it does look too much like Fallout 3. That's a real downer but still it's way better than Fallout 3. LOL I massacred all those mask wearing peoples who own a casino in the strip because they were kind of lame. I ignored the legion at first but then I ended up liking them when I quested over there and saw that they had Benny I laughed and completed there quest and just let them crucify them.
The NCR reminds me of America in a way so I thought it would be amusing to side with the legion now I'm trying to collect howitzer parts.
It's truly sad you cannot be a caravan guard and just travel everywhere protecting caravans because that's what I started the game hoping to to and that is all. Earn monety and collect better equipment and wander the wastleand as an unimport lulz seeker.
Still it developed pretty good and it certainly is better than anything I've played recently in the "Genre" |

I wanted to do the Legion route, but switched to "Wild Card" just to see how horribly bad it would turn out. So far I've had at least one "Oh God, what have I done?" moment. Anxiously waiting to see how this all plays out... |

This game must put Alpha Protocol's choice and effect scheme to shame, then, because my run in with Benny happened under totally different circumstances. |

I bought it and so far I enjoy it. I mean, the game mechanics are still not quite what I want but its a step in the right direction. The dialog is a whole lot better and the voice acting overall is superior to Fallout 3 too. I just made the robot sheriff of Primm, I'm walking the line as a Neutral Citizen because I'm cool like that.
Also, I'm playing it on Hardcore with the difficulty on Very Hard with no crosshairs and I'm thinking no HUD too. I'm going to get Wild Wasteland as a trait for my second playthrough. |
