Fallout MMO Screenshot Update

Chris Taylor, the Lead Systems Designer for Interplay's Fallout MMO codenamed Project V13, has cleared up the status of the PV13 screenshots that we released a while back. Here's what he had to say:

I'd like to point out those weren't even "alpha" screens, just "Proof of Concept".

The current models look different. We still want a somewhat stylized look so we can avoid the "Uncanny Valley".

Yes, proof of concept artwork is usually (and is, in our case) placeholder.

Masthead has sent us new artwork and it is far superior to the proof of concept, and I liked the POC (recognizing that it was just POC and very early) so I'm very happy.

So to all of those people out there who still didn't believe the screens were from PV13, now you have your proof.

Despite the fact that they look like ass, they resemble fallout a great deal more than fallout 3. Still ass though.

They really do. The feel to the game is there. I would rather have gameplay than graphics.

No? Pretty recent in fact. I imagine they were rushed this/end of last year to keep the license.

Well, these are before they've even finished the product. It won't look like this when it comes out, they just needed to do enough work in order to stop Bethesda shutting them down.
