member Cazamerator wants you to be more "intelligent" so he posts this:
In Fallout 3 we barely saw anything on the romance side of things except that girl in the vault but that wasnt really love. Maybe in new vegas you could meet a girl/boy or something and become your follower and they help you out like loads, with more speech dialogue than in Fallout 3. And whoever posts "omg someones already posted this this thread is gonna be locked" go and and get yourself a life instead of trying to be more "intelligent" on a bloody computer.

Please post your thoughts on this topic
i know whenever i'm realllly in love with somebody i test it by seeing how much they'll carry as they follow me around!

Krytt demonstrates the perfectly fine line between being a complete fucking dunce and a genius-level troll:
I know that Fallout NV isn't coming out for a while, but I wanted to see what people might say.

I for one would want to see a sort of DLC similiar to Point Lookout. Instead of a boat going to an island, something more along the lines of buggy riding through the dunes, only to discover some insane tribe of physcopathic cult members, or such.
which is he? you decide...on a buggy!

He probably means dune buggy. Still retarded, though.

Personally I like DLC for certain games. I think it's a good marketing tool, and very rewarding.

Beth-quotes mainstay darkzentai graces us with another thread. he's very right to question the direction Obsidian will take...since, afterall, the developers of the original Fallout (#3) are not making the game.
I want to ask what people think of the change in theme for Fallout NV
from what i have seen its turned from mad max 50s-60s theme to a more wild west theme

but of cause we have not seen inside the vages it self yet
but we have seen some of the wasteland and art for hoover dam

do think it is a good change and why?

but of cause we have not seen inside the vages it self yet, so know wey to tell yuo darkzentai lol!

__________

in a thread brilliantly titled "the game after new vagas", brilliant Beth-member fallout wraith asks an important question:
what do you want in the next fallout game and where do you want it to be placed?
hmmmm, let me see.... :? well i want vehicles, and aliens, and a township and a mansion, and a deathclaw for a pet, and a car and an alien blaster and area 51 DLC and...romance! and i want it placed in the corner of the desert lol!

__________

lastly, a very astute member named ChadGarion25 brings up quite possibly the most important topic regarding next-gen cRPG game-play:
I searched around a bit and I didn't see anyone else talking about this, so here is my idea for household storage:

In Fallout 3, I would take unique weapons and armor and put it in one locker as a kind of trophy storage case. I never bothered to manually arrange my prizes because it took a lot of time and I could knock them over in the tight room space or they would glitch and bang around on the floor. They had the right idea with the bobblehead stand; a place that automatically takes a certain type or category of item and displays it in a tasteful manner. It would be simular to the display cases in Oblivion Elder Scrolls, except you wouldn't manually place an item in the case.

My proposal is this: in the various homes you may get, have storage containers that automatically display weapons you deposit into them. So if you put your guns into a 5 slot gun rack, the top 5 guns of your choosing would physically appear on the rack and can even be removed directly from the rack, bypassing inventory. Different displays handled different items:

* Armor Stands for clothing or power armor (like in fallout 3
* Busts for helmets
* Bookshelves for misc items (Wasteland Survival guide, food)
* Medicine Cabinet for heath and aid items
* A center podium for one special item your proud of

This would be great for pack rats like me who horde all the unique and obsolete items and like to display a few of them without messing with manual placing physics.

brilliant.

Discussing that company thats making vaults:
This would've been cool in 1960's. But today, I don't really see use for fallout shelters. The worst that can happen now is a nuclear terrorist attack. An all-out nuclear war, or alien/zombie invasion is extremely unlikely.
As opposed to the 60's when zombies and Aliens were VERY likely.

Topic: Trouble Understand Chronology:
I really dont understand the time-line of the whole thing, and the end of the world..

I mean, In game, its 2277 right?

So, the Apocalypse took place 200 years ago, meaning 2077, right?
And if so, how come whatever is left of the world is from the 1950's?

Sorry, I just dont get it, can someone clarify the origins of the game for me, Its just not explained clearly enough for me..

No, im not a retard -.-
I just didnt get this one particular aspect of the game.
He's not a retard folks!

This is awesome!
Fallout Comic books anyone?
That would be awesome. I can imagine it now. "The Adventures of Herbert 'Daring' Dashwood, and his ghoul Man Servant, Argyle!

That wpuld be truely epic
It truely wpuld.
absolutely! Especially if the comic was done in old flash gordon / buck rogers style, as a supplement to the Fallout universe! I would buy every issue of that stuff (hint hint bethesda!)
It would be interesting to see a Fallout comic by the guy that makes Deadpool. It would be hilarious!!
Except Deadpool isn't hilarious. Neither are Bethesda.
Fallout comic would have VATS? yes or no
Important question!
Meh... maybe i'd read it if it was written by Alan Moore. Wait...... A fallout comic written by
Alan Moore? That would be [censored] awesome!
Yes, a butchered IP written by a man who constantly has is IP butchered would be amazing. I'm sure he'd be thrilled at playing on the rapists side for once.
Or Warren Ellis. I would buy every issue. And the collectors edition.
Alan Moore AND Warren Ellis? In the same thread!? These guys are clearly comic book experts.

New Vegas Stuff
Lets all hope FO:NV has a massive proportion of accessible buildings even if they have no purpose because in F3 the inaccessible buildings annoyed everyone!!!
Also wouldnt it be great if there were more look-out positions half way up key locations and sniper positions.

ALSO OUR HOME IN NV IF WE ARE GOING TO EVEN GET ONE NEEDS TO BE IN AN OPEN ENVIRON NOT TRAPPED WITHIN THE CONFINES OF MEGATON!!!!!!!!!
MORE HOUSE CHOICE AS WELL
BECAUSE ISNT FALLOUT ABOUT YOUR CHOICES!!!!!!!! Maybe there could be purchaseable houses and resting spots taken from the idea of the various taverns and hotels in F3(megaton+rivet city).
Also it would be great if you could Buy more than one house so you can drop of your loot at 2 different locations, one a forward position and one your home base kind of thing.
I would really like to be able to buy/start and operate my own business(mayby even be able to hire a few employes??) in the Fallout world to be able to sell some of the things I gather out in the world without having to go make multiple stops to multiple vendors and not allways be able to sell everythign I had intended to
I have a gut feeling that we will be able to run a Casino of some kind at some point in the game in some manner.
I think a tarnished map of the intire New Vegas world would be a nice addition no matter what the collector's edition includes (if there is one, of course) :fallout:

Random Stuff
I've never played Fallout 1 or 2 in very much depth, so I don't know if it rained in those games. But I'm just curious, do you think rain in Fallout is canon?
Should adiation be more serious?

I got boared and looked up radiation poison on wikipedia
It say that just up to 50 rads you will get cancer
and 100 you would get serious skin burns
and you will bleed in the mouth and vomit alot
and about 500 rads would make you die within 30 hours
and 1000 is 100% certain death but you wont die
People lasted to live to 5000 radiation
well any way should radiation be more serious than just taking stats off you?
shouldent it make your mouth bleed, make you vomit alot, make you be delirius and have delirium
But yea, radiation wasint that a big deal in fallout 3 and you could just make it go away with some ointment stuff
but really its very diffucult to get rid of it.
It should be more realistic in new vegas
Discuss Nuka cola and whatnot.
i JUST noticed that 90% of the vaults in the CW are dead (they have no more SANE people in them, or their occupants are dead)
does anyonw know why?
He JUST noticed.
wait, they were experiments..?? so they werent meant to save anybody??
The last two quotes are from fallout_fan_boy by the way. Hey come on I bet he knows where all the hidden mini-nukes are!
Hello
Im curious to know what people think on how likely it is that fallout 3 could happen in real life. Prehaps not up to the point of super mutants but the world being destoried by nukes. They game idea obvously was thought up by the fact that its possible. general comments on this topic would be great!

Thank you

Even when you're nickel 'n' dimed to death? Even if it meant choosing between a complete game at drop or a yearly milkjob?

Just curious.

As I said, when it's done right, which usually means the game is complete without it and it isn't too expensive.

No. I answered it fully.

I said I like DLC when done right.

You asked if that meant paying too much and if the game is released with areas intentionally left out for DLC purposes.

I said I like it when it is fairly priced and the game can be considered complete without it.

I don't know what country you're from, but I can tell, from this post and others, that the you struggle with the English language. Now, either contribute something decent to this topic or fuck off. I set it up to laugh at illiterate retards, not go back and forth with one.

Congratulations on learning to explain fully. It's tough to get out of your echo chamber and get past your vaguer and I am glad to help.

Next time you want to pretend to take the high road, simply sign off and say goodnight Gracie. At least you can warm yourself by pretending to know more than your opponent.
