Here Come the Mummies. I'm surprised I haven't seen this band mentioned more as they're fantastic.

Hey guys, I'm still trying to come up with a good assortment of possible loungey tunes to make a new station for New Vegas. Post is here, please add to the dialog if you've got anything.

Manoil, strangely enough the Gran Turismo 5 soundtrack has a lot of good examples of what (I think) you're looking for. And the opening credits feature Lang Lang... 'nuff said. Unfortunately no one can ever come close to reproducing the sounds the Ratpack did... it was, after all, the 50's. Some things will just never be topped, Lady Blue's voice, Louis Armstrong's high notes, Frank Sinatra's womanizing. Was a way of life to these people, not art.

Anyway, ATM; Damnit Jerry, we are grateful afterall.

Corea, huh? 500 miles high is beast, although I thought it was Corea's solo work, not RtF. Kinda dug Romantic Warrior, any other recommended album(s)??

~~

Anywho, this one could've fit into Hotline.

I'm more of an Al Di Meola fan than a RtF fan truly. Love the guitar fusion of that era - him, Mahavishnu Orchestra. Santana and Frank Marino on the rockier side. Great thing about jazz is all the incestuous side projects.

Discovered a bunch of new loungey artists (like this) for the proposed New Vegas Radio station, but I really think DML should attempt to cobble together a Wasteland Radio station based off of people calling in stories about their crazed bullshit travels in post-apocalyptia. Urine-drinking and dementia aplenty.

NO THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS

Souad Massi. A wonderful voice, exceptional instrumentation, too.
