Into the Breach is really good. Been playing a lot of that and Stellaris what with the big update that game had, too. Currently, waiting (im)patiently for Battletech to come out at the end of April.

I think I would try to eat the world, if it is possible.

Yesterday I beat Zelda: Minish Cap, it was pretty good but fuck keeping track of all kinds of shit, I think I prefer hand-holding these days

Currently playing Superliminal which is this perspective-based puzzle game, it's okay, I think it's pretty short which is good because it seems a bit gimmicky, for fans of: Stanley Parable maybe, sorta similar vibe, maybe

edit: beat Superliminal, not worth it, now playing Zelda: Twilight Princess HD on Wii U, the greatest gaming system ever invented. Pretty fun thus far, not so sure about the wolf stuff though

I still alternate days between Minecraft and GTA Online. I'm not good at either, but I enjoy games where I can either do everything or nothing and still be occupied for several hours.

I don't have a lot of time these days but I got Phoenix Point on steam during the Fall sale and I've been giving it a spin. Gameplay wise I think it's good, but something feels a bit off about it. I can't put my finger on it. It's somewhere between the original X-COM games and the NuCOM's but I think I'd rather just play Xenonauts (2 whenever that finishes) at this point.

Also, Fallout 76. For some reason I can't stop, I have a problem.

you are addicted to really badly designed games?

This thread is now about the crippling addiction that is video games. Like many a extreme drinkers who is stuck fat down the dark mine hole of video games.

VGA is a sureous matter.

Heres a description of my early twenties:

"The ICD-11 describes "Gaming disorder" as recurrent video game playing that leads to "impaired control over gaming" and an "increasing priority given to gaming to the extent that gaming takes precedence over other life interests and daily activities," despite "the occurrence of negative consequences.""

LOL

I guess any self-reinforcing activity that takes your mind away from negative emotion could turn into addiction. I don't really understand how shit like ICD-11 and DSM-5 are helpful, the level of comorbidity in mental disorders must be ridiculous, but hey I guess you can always come up with new disorders to solve that

I beat Twilight Princess the other week, it was aight. I think I'll finally buy a used Switch for the holidays if I can find one, the new OLED model looks sweet but is very pricey here and sold out everywhere anyway.

The last Hitman game I ever played was Bloodmoney. I pre-ordered Elden Ring, I hope it lives up to the hype, I've enjoyed all the other From Software games so far.

I finally bought the Switch, been playing Link's Awakening this weekend. I like these 2D Zeldas even though they're all essentially the same game over and over again. Maybe I'll play the original one next, never played that one

My friends got me a switch a few Christmas' ago, I mostly play indie games on it. Battle Brothers, Darkest Dungeon, Into the Breach, etc. I think it's really good for turn-based games and I basically handle it like my old gameboy advance. In that regard I am looking forward to their Advance Wars remakes. These days I'm pretty much only playing Elden Ring. Good stuff.

Sounds good, I hear it's nice for playing old (S)NES games as well but my modded consoles got that covered. I bought it purely for the Nintendo exclusives so it stays in the dock.

Elden Ring seems to be all the rage right now, how are you liking it so far?

As I told Amis, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The open world is interesting to just go around and explore and then you come up on a castle or something and the level design goes right back into old Dark Souls territory and the gameplay couldn't be better. I always go for a paladin my first playthrough, high faith and strength, having a lot of fun with it.

I picked up a little emulation computer. Playing Super Mario RPG on a TV using a controller for the first time in about 20 years.

That's cool, I saw those super emulators on China-bay, tempted to buy actually:
