Hi there people.. Im new here

Post by subnormal »

ARGH! I just pressed backspace and deleted my whole message! Grrr.

Well here I go typing it all again. I've just got back into fallout tactics map making... I never released any maps but I sure made a lot for personal fun... I dont know, I just love the fallout genre!

Though I sometimes spend HOURS on a map just trying to put together a little section of it exactly how I want it to look, and searching through the tile set for a certain specific little tile that I absolutely can't find! Ive been looking ages for the sand texture set that's sloped but I just can't find it! It's P*****g me off!!!

I've put up a map that I made a long time ago on some webspace here...

It's been rotting away on my hard drive since last year, and I'm making new stuff so, if anybody wants they can use the map.. It's got a lot of work put into it and was going to be an assault map with the objective being a general that has to be killed by the attackers...

Hey, If i put up maps on here for you people to have a look at, but not to use in your own work, are there any people around that might take it and use it anyway? If I decide to release something, I don't want to find it already featured in other people's work, It'll be embarrassing!
It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The "hard" is what makes it great.

It's not safe to say, however if you do, add a note that you don't wish others to do that. Since there aren't too many mappers around, I'd say it's best to go public with the maps so if someone spots it they could tell you. You're not going to get anything money-wise for the maps, but since it is your work, know that people don't like guys who rip off others work, so I don't think anyone will.

In anycase, posting the links here proves a point of who was first, since there are dates.
