Duck and Cover

I saw it last night and it was pretty good but I didn't think it was as good as the reviews were saying. It's about some aliens who are treated like Jews but you don't really learn much about the aliens which I thought was kind of stupid. It has action parts in it that are pretty good too with people exploding into a bunch of blood and stuff. It's definitely a different type of movie that kind of only picks up after the first half hour and it seems very french. It's probably one of the better summer movies so I would recommend you see it as I predict most DACKers to enjoy it.


I was scared that it would have some stupid ass camera shit like cloverfield but it's only in like the first half hour so don't worry negros.

Yeah, I don't like the commercials where it demonizes the cops by showing them busting into houses and arresting alien sympathizers. I mean, they're not even human, how would they have our inalienable human rights?

I lived in South Africa during Apartheid, and I thought a lot of my enjoyment of the movie came from having the right cultural background. I hate using the word "allegory," but this is what this movie is.

That being said, it's fucking awesome.

Best Sci-fi in some time.

It may not be as groundbreaking and incredible as some reviewers would have you believe, but it still melted my butter. I'd say its good enough to warrant multiple viewings.

I kept wondering what they were doing with all that retarded Tau technology.
King alien should have made the mothership lay a big, fat turd before leaving.

The ending has a good mixture of closure and openness that it should be left alone, like the first Matrix, but we all know what happened there.

Apparently the inclusion of subtitles and fake documentary footage has managed to flim-flam people into thinking they've just witnessed something deep. Even if it is sandwiched in between explodo-lighting guns, puke gags, tasteless alien miscegenation jokes, mech-warriors, incontinence and blatant racist.
