<p>So basically they went with some cartoon look cause they probably want to be Japanese or something.</p><blockquote><p><em>Following reports of a new art style for Borderlands, developer Gearbox
has provided a glimpse of the game's revised appearance through the
cover of the next PC Gamer.
</em></p><p><em>"The image is an in-game screenshot with no post process," said the company.
</em></p><p><em>Referred to as "Diablo with guns" by <a href="http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/53727">our very own Nick Breckon</a>,
Borderlands is now slated to bring its unique blend of post-apocalyptic
gunplay and traditional RPG mechanics (skill trees, level bars, etc.)
to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 <a href="http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/51707">before October 31</a>.

Looks okay, I don't see a problem. Not that I have any opinion on the game; I'll probably never play it.

The new, little-known game from Gearbox called Borderlands, has just been vehemently defended by its creators. The sci-fi action game is reported to be cel-shaded, according to the internet buzz. Well, Randy Pitchford, Gearbox's main man, has denied that rumor. "No, Borderlands is not cel-shaded - it's a gritty and serious world after all." He said, but since the game was first unveiled, significant changes have been made. The official website should be updated with new media and other content this week, so keep checking back.

Nah, it was just pushed back. I think it was originally suppossed to have a summer release, but now it's a winter release. I personally don't care as I like cell shaded games.
