The guys making the Mount and Blade Fallout mod know nothing about canon, don't care about it, and are complete assholes to anyone that tries to tell them that they need to change it. I did once, but they wrote me off as one of the insane Fallout community people and I even got a warning on the Taleworld's Forum because of those stuck up kids.

Yeah, I doubt any of them are older than like 16 from how they conduct themselves.

Which is why I don't take them seriously.

Then why include them in the list?

One day I might install this game. If that grim time ever comes where no better games are produced than F3 then I need to know something.

Is there any sort of megamod with all the stuff you'd want without having to dig through the heap of crap out there and have like 40 downloads going on at the same time?

The question has probably been asked before, maybe even by me. So I beg my pardon and hope you can answer it anyway.

Probably not, but I trust Danny's taste. Just get everything off the Classic sub-list and whatever else would suit your fancy. I can speak from experience that without the classic mods the game really falls short of being an RPG.

Isn't there something like what Oscuro did for Oblandvion or is that just poor memory (or wishful thinking) on my behalf?

All the various mods, do they somehow interfere/remove content in the real game? About to install the Vault 13/15 mods, mutated critters, weather mod and some bits and pieces.

Edit: also there seems to be some form of mod handling software out there called FOMM, do you recommend it?

yes use fomm. there is also a tutorial on installing mods with fomm so that they are much much easier to remove.

Can all mods be installed by FOMM? This since out of all the ones I installed only one had a special "FOMM version" (think it was the critter mod). I guess its it that's the exception and not the other way around.

They have a lot of retarded shit, but a great deal of their models look promising, while not canon. I'm willing to grant creative flexibility to aesthetics if it retains the feel or at least seems to supplement it positively.

Many thanks for all the help. I added the Imp mod and thought that would mean no instant stimpack healing to but its not doing that, is there any mod for that?

Also curious to if its possible to holster weapons/fists as I keep hitting people with them due to playing on a laptop (accidently doubletapping the pad makes it attack).

There's a quick key for holstering, I think? Check under Options > Controls > Keyboard.

Hold the R key to holster.

I was checking for the controls but didn't see anything, isn't R to reload? Gonna try it. Even tried the good old *bash the keyboard* technique.

Thanks dude, worked. Can't believe they couldn't have two seperate weapons for reload and "ready" as they call it.

It's pretty stupid. Tap R to reload, hold R to holster. Also, to bring your weapon back up, hitting the fire key is a good shortcut.

Kind of pointless with New Vegas coming out Tuesday, isn't it?

The quicker Fallout 3 is made a useless product by the superiority of Obsidian's work, the better.
