It looks like an addon pack...

...released a month after the game itself. Hopefully it will start a games industry precedent, where developers cut their game in half and make you pay for both halves seperately. The games industry needs more corporate shenanigans, 'cause dammit, my anus just isn't wide enough yet. They may as well change the word "consumer" to "bitch."

Please don't let it be Jefferson... pleaseeee..

No, it's probably an add-on, for squeezing the last bits of profit out of the Infinity engine.

You know, that wouldn't be so bad, if they only made you pay for half of it when you bought the first half. That way you could say, "Well, that was about as exciting as watching flies fuck - or televised golf for that matter - I think I'll pass on the second half." Um...of course you know they wouldn't do that, since it'd probably be a scheme to get you to pay $75.00 rather than $50.00 for the game...

Gah...using the "one month after, and at nearly full price" assrape is going to get a bit old for people. It's already been noted at places like PCGR.com from what a friend says. Instead of releasing the whole game, they release most of it, then ship out a bit more at an over-inflated price tag.

It may get old with SMART people, Rosh, but I doubt much of their IE fandom base will even notice they're getting reamed.

Then again, I'm not sure if Ark of Warrior is an expansion pack to IWD2. It could be a bundle pack of IWD and it's expansions, trying to get new people who bought IWD2 without buying IWD to buy the original.

It is it possible that "Ark of Warrior" is simply the sub-title of Icewind Dale 2?

Er... nevermind. Ebgames.com has both Icewind Dale II and Ark of Warrior. It sounds more like a compilation of Icewind Dale and its expansions.

Personally I don't think that it's just plain old IWD bundled up with HOW+TOTSC, considering that IWD and HOW put together don't amount to that much when you buy them separately (or do they?). EBWorld could be pulling off yet another ripoff price, but why so late?

If anything, Interplay should be releasing the IWD+HOW+TOTSC bundle pack before the release of IWD2, don't ya think? In any case, I'm not sure that they've already not done that.

So here's a few distinct possibilities:

a) It is a compilation of IWD+HOW+TOTSC at a funky 29.95 price, with all the latest patches as well... and perhaps the Soundtrack CD and all the nice manuals.

b) It's all of the above, but with some (or all) of the technical and/or graphical upgrades in IWD2.

c) It's an entirely different game from IWD. A BGDA sort of game for the PC.

d) Due to its price, one could guess that it is an expansion pack for IWD2 that BIS has been working on without any of us knowing about it, but this is doubtful.

I wonder if there's an Elves only version.

I had a dream I was watching midget porn last night. It's a sign! Praise Gawd.

It is Icewind Dale, Heart of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster being released in one package.

edit: Confirmed by BIS employee, with username Wolf over at BISbrd.
