SoA preview at IGN

[ -> N/A]

There's a <a href="http://pc.ign.com/articles/366/366174p1 ... preview of Soldiers of Anarchy at IGN detailing the events of the apocalypse, character advancement, vehicles, scavenging, and all sorts of fun stuff. Here's a taste of what's in store:

For much of the game, you'll be scavenging and holding equipment, but later on, you'll have the opportunity to trade with one of the neutral trading factions in the game. So finding and taking vehicles, which are undoubtedly the most valued currency in the game, is essential. Luckily, there will be more than a few out there for you to "acquire". They come in all shapes and sizes. You'll start off by finding yourself a nice Humvee with a mounted topside machine gun for mowing down infantry, move on to trucks, vans, jeeps, armored vehicles, tanks, and even some airborne craft like rocket bearing and troop transport helicopters. You will have access to high tech air units, but they'll mainly play a support role with you being able to call in air strikes. It just wouldn't have made sense otherwise.

Interesting <a href="http://pc.ign.com/articles/366/366174p1 ... preview. I liked the part about enemies swiping your unmanned vehicles.

This was spotted at Blue's.

This game sounds really interesting, actually. I hope the story has a big part in how the game plays, and isn't just a for a 'filler' background.

I kind of wish it wasn't mission based, though they claim nonlinear gameplay.

Then again, so did Fallout Tactics.
