Movies I Want on DVD.

Post by ExtremeDrinker »

There are a ton of great movies out there, many of which are hard to find or not yet available on DVD.

List your top three movies you really want but can't have on DVD

These are my three I really want on DVD (US versions, mind you)

Schlafes Bruder

Dark Future

edit:: gosh, apparently a dvd of it exists, a recent development. pity there's regional encoding chit on it.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Off the top of my head - The Atomic City

There's a ton of movies I want rereleased, though. Out of print or otherwise bastardized versions.

I'd usually be surprised if someone had heard of that movie. I saw it a couple times on the Independent Film Channel back when I was younger, rented it once on VHS, and then the movie seemed to vanish from the US never to return. Hell, same with the other two movies. I've not seen them since shortly after their release dates.

Weird. It plays on TV around here pretty much every year. It played last week, but decided I had seen it enough.

Apparently it failed to bring in it's audience if you didn't like it.

South Park would be nice to own on DVD, too...Unfortunately, I've waited too long and can't afford to buy 10 seasons in a row. If only I had had a DVD player back when they first started putting the seasons out.

Theres not many movies that aren't on DVD that I wanted, but there was one movie as a kid I really liked but I could only see it on TV. I couldn't even find a VHS of it. It's called "The Gate" and it has a young Stephan Dorf in it, its about like 3 kids at home alone and they find some portal in their back yard and monsters come out. He defeats the main monster with a toy rocket, I really liked it but I can't find it anywhere. From my research they even made a sequel of it so it should be the type of movie that gets on VHS or DVD. If any of you can find it on DVD please tell me.

edit: I just started looking and it seems they have released a DVD of it and its sequel, it must have been somewhat recently. This is pretty awesome.

You need a rental place like the one by my place - privately owned - the guy's a movie fanatic (even has a porn section in the back if you're so interested and of age of course) - the reason I started going is because I couldn't find El Mariachi anywhere, and he not only knew what it was, but he had it on the shelf. That's service! Not only that but there was some other movie too Battle in Heaven I think - nowhere else had it, but he ordered it in for me. Dude's an awesome...um....yeah he's awesome.
