some things that SHOULD really be fixed in f3

Discuss the game that started it all, and its sequel. Technical questions and issues go into the Fallout Technical Support forum, not here.

some things that SHOULD really be fixed in f3

(this was originally a message sent to someome, so ignore the "you" stuff)

Dont randomize anything that has a long term effect, the game should be based on skill and strategy, not luck

Also, armor should not reduce the chances to get hit, it should add damage resistance only, and take out damage threshold, or atleast keep it very low so that atleast a BB gun doesnt do any damage when you wear power armor

also, you should make it so that if something is standing one hex away, you have a 100% chance to hit it, because how can something dodge a bullet if the gun is in their face, and also, no matter how low your unarmed/melee skill is, you just can't miss at close range even I, poor fighter, can easily manage to land a punch on someone if they right in my face

also when targetting an object, suppose you just randomly aim with a normal shot, it should have a chance to hit any body part, depending on its size, and not just the torso, also, suppose you are aiming at the eyes, if you miss, it will have a chance to hit the head, and an even smaller chance to hit the torso, and such. Also, if you are shot in the eyes arms, or legs there should be a much larger chance that you will hurt them, infact, your eyes and arms and legs should have certain amounts of life, and the more they get hit, the less efficient they become, because in real life, you won't be able to be shot in the leg a few times and still be able to walk, there is tons of pain, blood spews out, your legs lose oxygen, they cant move as well, etc.

well thats just what i think

It doesn't anyway, and if it does, it only gives you 0hp off

Well then you wouldn't need to put up your unarmed skill. And if you have ever seen a proper fight, they dodge and block. And you can miss if you have a gun pointed at someones head...look at the movies. In fallout they could just grab the gun and knock it away from their face or something.

Your legs lose oxygen? Do you have inflatable legs now? If you get shot in the right leg about 6 times in real life you'd
1.Probably be dead
2.Could still limp around, or at least pull yourself around with your arms.

There was a 'crippled' feature in Fallout, isn't it enough for ya?

That's somewhat how Fallout does it already. Leather Armor has a higher AC than Metal Armor, but Metal Armor has higher resistances.
