Things that MUST be in FO3

Since Bethesda decided to make Fallout 3, we figured we might as well have a forum about it.

Deathclaws were moldy cereal after fo2, and tactics just jizzed shit from their dicknipples all over them and the dog. Trap dog? Fuck.

Here's the deal about Fallout 3. You should stop thinking about it on a "what will make it "fallout" as opposed to "just not fallout". First of all, children weren't even in FO1, they were one of those hardcorifying points in fo2 that made it what it was, then got kinda cancelled out by the constant movie schlock.

But to be very honest, I loved the shit out of FO2 more than FO1 myself. Simply put, it had more shit in it, and in an RPG, that's what makes a sequel better imo. Same game, 2x the amount of shit. Triquel? 4x the shit. That's why triquels hardly ever win, just flail. Mario 3 is a good example of success in ANY triquel. Same game, 4x more shit in it. (Remembering of course that mario 2: veggies and Wart is a different game rebadged to look like mario for the americans)

So if was to fuck up really badly and even assume to compare fallorc to fallout, I'd say the things that MUST be in it are:

A vastly larger, more detailed world than FO2 (Fail)
A vastly increased and complicated quest system (fail)
A vast number of more complicated, realistic npcs (fail)
A vast number of more complicated weapons and items, and usages thereof (fail)
A vastly improved plotline, with increased numbers of outcomes for each quest, including ways to resolve the quests that are not readily apparent or even suggested by anyone (hire someone else to do it for you?) EPIC FAIL.

So yeah, fallorc is gonna be 1-2 hours of plotline in a "stage" like format like all the elder scrolls games were, unintentionally, I'm sure, with plenty of shooter gimick physics traps like "shoot the thing to make the barrels roll downhill onto the placed enemies" or in an example from the fallorc previews "shoot the car's reactor that's just been sitting around primed and wired to be a nuclear bomb (that you can detonate with small arms fire) instead of a reactor and is additionally functional 200 years later to kill the placed enemies near it"

If I were you, ranger, I'd make a new thread that's things that MUST be in "Nuked World: A role playing game" which would of course be a new, full scale turn based iso rpg a-la-fallout. Then start dev on it.

Otherwise, yer never, ever, ever going to see anything satisfactory in a FO sequel. Fucking let alone in a shitty fucking bethsoft game. God damnit their games fucking suck.

I think that the opportunity to kill brats in fallout 3 is just about the least important thing in the game. What I would like to see is the opportunity to get away with an assassination. It made me sick in fallout1 when you killed some townie and were suddenly attacked by every irradiated sand bum in the area. It was if every NPC in town was linked together on a psychic level. In fallout 2 you could pull off an assassination if you were in sneak mode, no one else had line of sight on you, and you completed the kill in one combat round. I hope that FO3 is at least that good. I must admit however that it would be nice to be able to deliver a solid smack in the mouth to a kid that has tried to steal from you without the whole town turning into zombies bent on your destruction.

Deathclaws are a must

Power armor is a must.

Partly. But it IS a must to have cassidy or a similar NPC killing children in a murderous rampage.

It appears as though someone made the "mistake" of handing his NPCs automatic weapons a few times more than would be classified as healthy.

That actually seems like a very reasonable solution to the child issue, but I would be kinda annoyed if there were little brats walking around and I couldn't annihilate them. I believe that if I get the urge to wipe out an entire town (pets included) I should be able to and a wasteland in which nobody under eighteen exists is just strange. Therefore the only logical solution is to include killable children in the game. We all know it will never happen.

Oh, come on, there's nothing like a thread in which various posters demand the ability to kill children to shed a light on the character of this forum. It must be at least a 2.

Great graphics and complex in-depth quests at the same time. A great interface I also like.

Pretty much like Fallout 1/2 but with next-gen graphics. :giggle:
